Any believers? Did any of you have a visitation from a good friend or relative that passed?

When I was in trauma before medvac I remember wanting to keep fighting them then being upset about my daughter and son not having my input during childhood and adulthood

next a complete calming feel and a present telling me everything will be okay it’s ok I couldn’t see anything just the brightest light you could ever imagine

I flatlined 3 times severe bleeding on the brain but the open skull kept that from killing me the other injuries were the biggest concern

the body heels well but the brain takes along time learning simple skills again but what is most interesting is while you neurological recovery you see things in your life again like you are in that moment some of the flashbacks are nice but many later on not nice very painful but you learn to deal with them every day

so yes we do have parallel life and walk with others based on my experiences

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexico wants an urgent investigation into how U.S. military-grade weapons are increasingly being found in the hands of Mexican drug cartels, Mexico’s top diplomat said Monday.

Mexico’s army is finding belt-fed machine guns, rocket launchers and grenades that are not sold for civilian use in the United States.

“The (Mexican) Defense Department has warned the United States about weapons entering Mexico that are for the exclusive use of the U.S. army,” Foreign Relations Secretary Alicia Bárcena said. “It is very urgent that an investigation into this be carried out.”

We could start by not leaving munitions behind

I would hope US troops are prepared to deploy anywhere in the world.

I've spent over 5 years combat deployed. No one is emotionally ready. You become empty.

How much time do you give on foreign soil.

The best wartime president is one the can keep us out of war. This is an effort to profit. We needed to keep a base in Iraq and Afghanistan. That would have kept this from ever happening

Has anyone here had any experience with carbon barrels? Specifically Proof Research?

Yes improvement on harmonic but heat and such no better imo. I'm of the opinion the throat of the barrel doesn't hold up.

The photos are faces we shoot at from my property

The only photo I have of some guns is this one right to left

    7x300

    338x378

    300 ultra mag

    50 on a bat action

Creedmoor guys are a special bunch.

The round is really good at what it was designed for, no question. But you'd think jesus himself designed it the way they talk.

    Every tool has its usages.

They are renamed wild cat guns to the market of today.

30 years ago I knew guys shooting 6.5 300. Now it's packaged as something new. In reality the case neck changed.

the current rifle is being built for steel target shooting. it will be too heavy to lug through the woods.

If I'm understanding you are leaning .284 bullet likely you subscribe to vallociy _ rang and constant group and performance.

You're wrong I used to think the same.

    1. I have several .284 fire arms from 708 to 7x300

The 7x300 is used mostly hunting out to 1000 yards max. Energy and killing capacity is falling apart past 800 yards. Can you push past 1000 yes but the circumstances have effect.  Angle plus 5 or down 5 will change range per angle. 10 percent on 1000yrds is actually 900 yards. My 7x300 takes 76 click using 1/4 minutes. Wind that's based on day mountain to mountain you will drift 5 pluss feet no matter the day.

The gun is built on a Remington 700 action 30 inch hart stainless barrel pillar beaded action into laminated stock. Night force scope. I hand load the gun shoots best with 78 grain r-25 Hornady 162 a max. The 168 fly well but not as good. Gun is 16 lbs class in comp. Real world is 14 ish. Not much over any Remington sendaro

Your 300 win mag isn't much better than 7 mm mag. Wonderful thing .30 is bc. Of bullet and wide grain availability. I have a 300 ultra mag sendaro . Load is 97 grains rutumbo either 210 burgers or 220. Vallociy is what you would expect from a factory gun. But it walks past 1200 10 shot group opens up to 16 inches on most good days it performed better once I had the action and barrel squared. Both my ultra and your 300 are falling just as fast beyond 1000 yards you 300 slightly more both are with in 10 clicks or 4.15 minutes again nightforce

Next I have a 338x378 senco action jewl trigger aluminum block Bart barrel 30 inch with brake McMillan composite stock night force scope  load is Lapua brass 114 to 116 grain of ratumbo or h570 old powder but I have 30 lbs on hand so that is the common. Tips are burger 300 grain or Hornady 285 amax. Both group the same under 1760 but the 300 past are better mountain to mountain. Average 10 shot group is 14 to 18 at 1760 though I've had under 12 on very good days. Gun was built by Bruce bear

The group mentioned vortex I have a pts 6.5x24 viper. Higher recoil guns like 30 cal. I found the scope moves. You can try tighten the inch pounds on the rings but the tube is air craft aluminum the ogive effects the scope adjustment. It performs very well on my sons 308.

Most of my past comp. Shooting was on a 6x284 very custom fire arm I've had 10 round groups in williams port under 6 inches at 1000 yrs. But the days were above average for shooting.

My advice  for what you are trying to do don't build less than 338. Velocity is sub 3150 with 300 grain but carried energy and consistency is head and shoulders better.

Is anyone here involved in long range shooting?

I started at 1000 yards last year and im hooked. We're moving it out to 1 mile soon.

    Yes since the 80s

I went through and read the thread.

At ranges what is your objective punch holes in paper and chip rocks.

Or are you looking for advice on killing at ranges.

  8. Given bill Barr holds no .gov role his comments on document type is conjure

He is part of the deeper issues we face. The f.f are very clear on constitutional out come

Bottom the entire system has been taken over by legal posturing rather than the job of representatives of the people.

The whine by the rethugs here is loud.

Guys got balls unlike the orange goon who heads for the bunker every day.

It's an air raid fake. Not the noise but the image being sent

I'll give you some insight as why.

We used to call it sphere while covering or assisting when President or hvp. in or near active combat zone

The term means coverage from all areas including under ground if possible. Designate bunkers are ie air craft fortified cover and so on. Are determined by forward crew days prior

The secret service had zero concerns or action. They knew it was going to happen.

But do t take my word on any of this I've done over watch assistance in war zones
