2024 SLOW start to the season ride reports
Liggett replied to Doug's topic in General Snowmobile Forum
I missed Vermont's 2-day Dec. 2023 season but finally got out last Wednesday. Trails were very good considering the small 2024 snowfall. Going again on Tuesday. -
I put a set of Duponts on my 600 last summer along with cleaning the power valves and a set of BR9iex plugs. It ran like a banshee last Wed. must be the plugs!

How did you hold that to drill it out to 1 1/4?

and then when the government dole dries up and they are forced with the reality of having to get a real job, it's lights out and take some innocents along with. -

civilians can't have full auto without spending mega $$ and a serious background check. If we take all the guns from law abiding citizens, do you really suppose criminals will give theirs up in your utopian world? -
America Pulls Back From Values That Once Defined It

Funny how Dems value money equally with Repubs. I wonder how that's gonna sit when we slide into communism? -

Sounds like it was sick of the miserable life it had created for itself. -
Riding tomorrow in IP trails are still great once you get some elevation.

Rode my '16 all winter unrecalled. I'll see about getting it done this summer. Maybe. Heard about enough problems post fix.

It will be interesting to look at my buds '22XCR drive bearing this spring with 4000+ miles. We regreased his jackshaft bearing this fall but it was fine. He didn't think it was worth checking the DS bearing even tho his '19 let go @ about 4K. Edit/Add: Driveshaft bearing was toast or was gonna be in a couple more miles when we finally checked it Nov. 2023', Replaced with Northstar greasable which is similar to Mag6240.

I have a full beard all winter. Just trimmed it yesterday. Been using the Mission with no beard issues and no glasses fogging for 3 seasons! Unplugged too!
-
I realize this is an old thread, but I just ordered Polaris #2889115 from Partzilla. $ 208 plus tax. It's Sunday, so I don't have conformation. Maybe it will turn out "out of stock"?
-
2 seasons now with a Mission as a glasses wearer. No fogging of my glasses and I've yet to plug my Mission in.

We have a 7500 watt gasoline portable wired semi-permanent in the shed attached to our garage. Manual start. I wired it to a 100 amp transfer switch in the basement by the entrance panel. You MUST have a transfer switch to protect utility crews! Our generator will start the 1,5hp deep well pump and run all our appliances including 2 window A/C units at once. It will not run our auto lift and we don't try to use the clothes dryer when we're on generator. Minor inconveniences. People ask why we need a generator if we have a propane boiler? Ya gotta run the circulators to push the hot water!

Donald Trump's no-makeup appearance has shocked people

Biden won't be the Democratic nominee, that's for certain. -

I voted for Trump in '16 and will do again if he's the nominee. He did a lot right by the USA (and world) in 4 years while being prosecuted at every turn. Having just said that, he is too old now, and too polarizing. Too many R's and I's will vote D if trump runs and the country cannot afford another Democrat administration, IF, we make it thru this one. I'd rather see Desantis or Noem, or even Cruz, with Candice Owens as VP. -
It's "Mail-In Voting". Not to be confused with "Absentee Voting" which is dead since "Mail-In" became the norm.

New A-Arm on, spindles back from powder coat. Still waiting for a couple parts I'm hoping will arrive this week. I had to do a preview.
-
Thank you. I ordered some from Bergstrom but I'll compare them to your measurements. I'm supposed to get the spindles back from powder coat tomorrow.
-
Yep, planning on it. The PO did not have them shimmed.

Old bearings are off and new jackshaft bearing pressed on. Need to wait for a new driveshaft inner bearing mount thanks to ham-fisting the old one. Rebuilt FTS installed with new dual-rate spring; infinite easy-adjustable limiter strap installed. All thanks to my "younger" and more flexible bud that came 35 miles one-way to give me a hand today. I'll get the chaincase buttoned up and filled tomorrow and start on power-valve R&R.

She'd be one in a convertible with the top down alone wearing her mask.
