  1. Thanks to all of you who actually put good info on this subject. Yes it ii's kind of dumb to compare a Harley to a sport bike but hey, to each their own. I have owned many sport bikes in my younger years. Had a few jap cruisers but I really like my Harley's. For those who think they cant run, I have a good buddy has a 2002 (I think) Fatboy, smokes everything in the quarter mile for last 3-4 years a our local track. He had to have a custom seat made so you can stay on the thing. I was skeptical but he let me ride it. Told me get on freeway crack it and hold on. She moved! I reached back out to fuel moto today asking about overheating. He guarantees me this is not an issue with the bolt on big bore kits. He assures me I won't go wrong! So more homework I do and then we will see.....Thanks again...

  2. Hey everyone, I recently purchased a new Street Glide 2018, well new to me! I immediately dropped a Red Shift 468 cam, upgraded oil pump into her which really woke her up. I was at work the other day and a guy said I had same year bike but totaled it out last year. He has a 124c.i. big bore kit he is willing to sell me pretty cheap. Has the jugs, pistons, rings, and all gaskets, along with the upgraded fuel injectors and the heavy duty clutch. I have been doing a ton of reading online and cannot really find any great answers to what I'm looking for. Have any of you done the big bore kit on your bike? When all said and done are you happy with the upgrade? Would you do it again? Is it a noticeable difference in performance? I ride with a lot of people but none of them have done the big bore kit. I have reached out to a company called Fuel moto and S&S Cycles. Both assure me these kits are a great upgrade and if installed correctly and tuned correctly I am not making my motor any less reliable. Both told me your making it more reliable, better jugs, pistons, bike doesn't work as hard. The price he is asking is pretty good (I think). I have been online and priced them out. Thanks to all who have some good feedback for me. Yes the bike will be getting Dyno'ed to make sure its tuned correctly. I am not looking to build a monster here, just want a little pep to get up and go when I want. Still want to jump on my bike and say sure lets ride to Florida (I live in Ohio) or where ever, still want my 1 week summer trip rocking out around 4-5,000 miles........

  6. 267 miles today. Planned my own route on my GPS, stayed off the main roads (which I usually do anyway). Had a great time. New bike ran phenomenal!! Me and my g/f go for a week ride every year. I live in Ohio, been to Maine, all over Tennessee, did the Kentucky bourbon run, Blue Ridge parkway. Never an issue. We take all back roads, way more fun, more people to meet, and you can run faster there than the freeway. Oh yeah, up around the outskirts of Michigan (hold your hand up, yes we did the whole outer side around the thumb and all!!) Up into the UP, down thru Wisconsin and around. We do around 4500-5000 in a week. Oh yeah....We own the entire east coast also.....Yes it is dangerous out there. But so is getting out of bed in the morning!!

  7. God bless that family! I can't imagine how tough that would be to have a family member born helpless. I'm sure it's tough. Pretty cool story, pretty cool bond.
