Yes, that’s Devin who is running the place now. He doesn’t mind chatting about some of the things he’s seen and found if you are there - been a good guy to work with. Specific to some of the first 9R’s was the center crank bearings going on them. Says he’s never seen as many of those on any other Twin. Apparently he has a fix for it, at least on the ones he is doing.

And you can work it the other way. Like this year when southern Sconnie had a shit ton of snow, groomers were out running all over (I was there, I passed 4 or 5). Then the very next day they shut them down to “save the base” when the forecast had shown your snow wasn’t going to last. Why not let everyone ride them 2-3-4 more days until the warmth actually arrived?? I stand by my earlier comments. I don’t mind Sconnies county by county method, but I like MN’s ride ‘em if you can better.

Our tow out of the mountains after the Widow Maker claimed it’s victim… a Doo hooked to a Poo hooked to a Yami - yeah, that Yami is covered in snow after 20 miles (still had 20 to go).

I have a few regular places I go, because I ‘know’ the servers schedules, and make a point to only be there when the ones I like are working. They see me coming as I walk through the door and a beer is on my table as I sit down. THAT is good service, and will get a tip from me every time. The other servers in these same joints, I’ll turn around and walk out, no fucks given.

Obviously we took our trails sleds with clutching and gear changes, sleds ran awesome for the conditions. But had we shown up the day we left, there would have been NO WAY we could have ridden them until things were tracked up and groomed. Renting would have been the only option.

It was pretty slick until we got over to I-25 via WY34, but clear sailing after that. Still gonna be an 18 hour day in the truck, but you know what??! It was worth it!!

The drive home didn’t start out very well - took 4.5 hours to get to Laramie

Wow - came upon 3 moose on the trail just yesterday. I was happy to see them high step it up the hill into the trees as we came to a stop on the sleds. No time for a pic which was actually comforting…
