Dude. Google had over a billion in revenue when it went public, same with Facebook, same with Twitter, amazon $150M, etc etc etc.

I’ll ask again for the third time, tell me how the stock valuation isn’t disconnected from the companies stellar financials.

    :pc:

Nobody at least not me is claiming it isn't disconnected from financials.  Simply saying many were.   Having revenue is one thing making a profit is another.   Is it a risky investment?   Yep.   Can it survive and grow making its valuation more actual?   Yep.

Dude, Amazon, Google, X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram just to name a few all lost money for years and years before they turned a profit.

It is. Yet it seems those pieces of shit typically get caught out of pure sloppiness. It’s those other fucks that slide under the radar. I’m of the opinion that there is no treatment for those people. The best approach is to lock them away for the remainder of their lives. Even chemical castration won’t stop many of them. It’s a true sickness that is permanent. No one will ever change my mind on that. Unfortunately they often find advocates in the mental health system.

In a rare case I completely agree.

Abuse of substances in cases of child sexual abuse is about half. The more deviant pedophiles are more difficult to detect and hide in open sight. They intentionally choose jobs that allow access to children through positions that encode trust. They are only attracted to prepubescent children and are groomers. They’re clever, intentional, and are aroused not just by the act, but the grooming and stalking associated with the crime. Most crimes involving alcohol or other substances are more related to female child molesters.

    50% is very significant

Trump’s Truth Social Stock Shoots Up On First Day After Hitting Stock Market

Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s social media company Truth Social shot off to a blistering start in its stock market debut on Tuesday, surging more than 50% at the beginning of trading.

Meanwhile, Trump owns a massive majority stake in DJT with almost 79 million shares, raising his value to nearly $5.9 billion

I doubt the port/river pilot is responsible for mechanical failures aboard any ship they are there to guide the ship to safely navigate the river up and down the water ways, mechanical failure wouldn't fall on the port Pilot

It would if they had time to drop anchor and didn't.

  7. Unfortunately sexual abuse of children is a human thing not a profession thing.   Yes some choose professions because of the access to kids but there are pedophiles in all walks of life.

Its also extremely tied to drug and alcohol abuse of the abusers.

He won't get shit done.  Because he is running the R's will lose the house & senate.  That is the biggest problem with him being the nominee.

Stuff like this doesn't need legislation.   Can be done by EPA rules and regs or more so the lack there of.

Reality is we need to take some power away from the executive branch with the way their departments can wield power without congressional approval.  Also really bogs down the legal system.

    He signed the bill.

Yes he did on 50% of the income.....then came Clinton/Gore.

Q4. Which political party increased the taxes on Social Security annuities?

A4. In 1993, legislation was enacted which had the effect of increasing the tax put in place under the 1983 law. It raised from 50% to 85% the portion of Social Security benefits subject to taxation; but the increased percentage only applied to "higher income" beneficiaries. Beneficiaries of modest incomes might still be subject to the 50% rate, or to no taxation at all, depending on their overall taxable income.

This change in the tax rate was one provision in a massive Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) passed that year. The OBRA 1993 legislation was deadlocked in the Senate on a tie vote of 50-50 and Vice President Al Gore cast the deciding vote in favor of passage. President Clinton signed the bill into law on August 10, 1993.

(You can find a brief historical summary of the development of taxation of Social Security benefits on the Social Security website.)

the entire grid and infrastructure certainly aren't there.  how many power companies have a fleet of EV trucks?

Oh FFS....you are comparing a HC plan to the head of the EPA changing regulations that doesn't need congress at all?

it's downright idiotic... we're not there yet societally, not even close.

if everyone were going to be driving EVs... wouldn't the power companies be building charging stations like mad so they could sell the juice directly to the consumer?

GM & Ford fucked up royally by not focusing on Hybrids, which Toyota/Lexus has done successfully since 2000.  Yota don't GAF about EVs... in the long run.

Charging stations?     Might want to get more electrical generation going first.
