because he can afford it. progressive taxation is in itself "unfair" but there is not really a better system.
The "because he can afford it" is a slippery slope. You, me and everyone on this forum could "afford" to pay more taxes. But why? Until the elephant in the room is dealt with this country is fucked. D or R doesn't matter, spending is beyond out of control at nearly all levels of government.

Well, looks like I've lost a 47 Fountain, and a new Lingenfelter Z06. Throw in a new Nitro Z21 too!!
I'm looking out my window at the garage roof ( 1 1/2 stories ) and the barn roof, ( 2 1/2 ) stories. Which would hurt less.
A or B?
A or B?
It's a great day to buy!

The same way they owned Model T’s eventually.
so this is a bad idea?
Natural gas shortage, supply chain issues could result in rolling blackouts in New England
(WFSB) - Power grid operator ISO New England is warning there could be blackouts or controlled outages if we get severe cold weather this season.
It all has to do with the natural gas shortages and the supply chain issues we are seeing globally.
If the weather stays like we have been experiencing recently, then they will have enough electricity for New England, but if several cold days come, they might not have enough energy to distribute to companies, like Eversource and United Illuminating.
New England depends heavily on natural gas to create electricity and because there is a shortage, we might not have enough to meet the demand if we get bad weather.

Serious question for you. Do you think people didn't die every second of every day pre covid?

Anybody here with a TNW, over $1,00,000.00? ( one million )
Go ahead, Red, Ac, Team Green, be loud and proud!!!
The fact that you can't illustrate 1,000,000.00 properly makes me think you are not accustomed to numbers like that.

Living within one’s means is something that many can’t wrap their head’s around. Got to have more fucking stuff.
That's the truth. And it runs through all age groups now.
1 hour ago, Angry ginger said:yup, very few can do both. Those who look "rich" most times are not. I see way too many clients even into their 50's with sub 100k in retirement funds.
Correct, It's astonishing how many people live streched to the max. Richest man I know looks like your average mechanic. Wears a mechanics uniform every day. He could buy half my town.

Everything is selling at crazy prices.

Someone is ALWAYS trying to take advantage of you.

People can either save for retirement, or have all the latest and greatest stuff to impress their friends and neighbors. It's hard to do both.

It’s about customers. Not surprised you didn’t know this.
Which customers? The ones that have to be vaccinated to fly on a plane?

Go workers!!!!!!!
Big businesses suck! Oh wait… fuck the employees! Yay for large corporations! Wait… I need context to decide if I’m for the workers or the corps. Cause you know. Vaccines trump everything. Save the kids. Wait, it’s save the grandparents. Yeah that’s it.
It’s fuckin bizzaro world.- 1

Everybody here is a liar!
Look, not everybody has negative effects but to pretend this thing is 100% safe is the same as pretending it's a real vaccine. So, carry on I guess.
Everybody. Except you know who(s).

It's amazing the numbers of people that get hooked on that shit. They are just clearing for a new shopping development near my work and they flushed out the homeless meth users. It's something else, like a scene from walking dead everyday.

You can't charge more for your products if the market won't bear the price increase.
Learn some basic economics, genius
If all businesses are having to pay increased taxes, or what ever component of business expenses that rise across the board then yes, to a degree you will get your increase in price. There are so many variables in today’s business world that will allow a business to raise prices. Just having a higher price then the competition will net you sales as people today are willing to throw money at a more expensive option in belief they are getting a better product or service. ie, apple, union labor, and countless other things.
