That piece of shit Ron Johnson used Russ Feingold's vote against the patriot act against him. Feingold was the only Senator to vote against it. I still recall Russ saying, "has anyone read this thing?"
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) is critiquing his opponent Russ Feingold’s Senate votes against anti-terrorism legislation. The Democrat had served three terms as U.S. Senator before losing to Johnson in 2010.
Johnson's newest ad says that despite Feingold's call to “combat terrorism and protect America,” he was “the only senator to vote against intelligence tools after 9/11."[1]
Is Johnson’s campaign ad accurate? Yes.
Feingold was the only U.S. Senator to vote against the original USA Patriot Act, which was approved 98-1 on October 25, 2001.
