Was a brisk one in Island Pond Friday into Sat morning.-23F Bunch of Guys trucks and Sleds with no pull cords wouldn't start. I gave my jump pack to a Guy with a brand new Doo and it still wouldnt start. Dont really get why. My old 6.0 Escalade fired up luckily and so did my Sleds. 5 slow pull overs to get things moving then 5 good pulls and they lit off. My Wife did awesome for her first real ride. And her new FXR Gear kept her warm she said. I think I was colder than her lol. Mostly just from my 509 Delta helmet. No good for those temps. Still we did 150 miles. Sat once it warmed up a little rode into the night. Then a quick ride Sun morning up to the lookout before we had to drive home. Sunday was beautiful +27 degrees or so, much better. Wanted to stay. They need more snow but trails were still really good considering that. Didnt get much for pics in the cold. Phone and Garmin GPS both had issues working in those temps Sat even being plugged in.

"Garbage alfredo". Pasta, Costco pulled chicken, mushrooms/peppers/onions, some extra seasonings and infused olive oils, and homemade alfredo sauce. Kind of uses up whatever is in the fridge and cabinets.

Started in East Dubuque and ran the backwaters of the Mississippi all the way down to an awesome bar/restaurant (Offshore) in Bellevue. Then up the Galena river to historic town of Galena. Simply can't explain how good of riding those backchannels are. Perfect place for the boosted Turbo's to stretch their legs. Nothing like lifting the ski's at 90+. Another week of cold weather so that riding should be good for some time.

Wife and I got back out for over a couple hundred miles this last weekend. Rode out of the Ridgeview motel in Lowville NY again. Trails were good to excellent.

Did I mention I f'ing hate the IRS? So, like clockwork ... I call back, hold for the 20-30 minutes to get to someone & explain the problem. The person I'm speaking with gives me the expected response of, "I'll need to transfer you to another agent to help with this." I then ask, before she transfers me, "If we get disconnected, is there a direct number to this other agent's department or do I need to go through all of this again?" She clearly didn't like me asking that question, and got somewhat pissy in her response (confirming that yes, I'd have to call back and speak with someone from her team again before they attempt to transfer me ... again). I go on to say, I'm not trying to be argumentative or anything & I appreciate her help - I just want to make sure if something happens during the phone call / transfer that I don't necessarily have to go through everything again. I thank her for her help, hear the hold music and .... "We're sorry but the number you are calling is experiencing high call volumes and cannot take your call. Please call back later, or another business day." the IRS

First Connecticut Lake in Pittsburg, NH.

Looks like a good time. I had a bunch of friends and family up there last week/weekend , they had one of the bigger log homes rented on 114 in east burke.

Went a couple towns over and was a total degenerate on a freshly groomed ribbon between a few towns. Of course my phone decided to be a POS...

Got out for a quick 70mi solo ride, crossing the lake sucked, rock hard frozen drifts..

First ride this year for the wife and I. Small section of trail opened by my house. Couldn’t go far but good enough for her to get a bit of seat time on the new machine.
