  8. Wall Street Wanted 600% Earnings Gains From Polaris; It Posted a 900% Surge The maker of powersports vehicles saw strong across-the-board gains. Rich Duprey (TMFCop) Apr 27, 2021 at 11:12AM Wall Street set the bar high for Polaris Industries' (NYSE:PII) first-quarter earnings results, forecasting the powersports vehicle manufacturer would post profits that soared 600% from the year-ago period. The maker of ATVs, snowmobiles, and motorcycles went even further, though, recording adjusted earnings of $2.30 per share, a tenfold increase over last year's $0.22 and well ahead of analyst estimates of $1.56 per share. Revenue of $1.95 billion also beat Wall Street's guess of $1.84 billion, and was up 38% from the year-ago figure of $1.41 billion. IMAGE SOURCE: POLARIS INDUSTRIES. Interim CEO Mike Speetzen said that despite disruptions to its logistics and supply chain due to the pandemic and weather, Polaris delivered "results that exceeded our expectations" with sales growing by double-digit percentages. Sales of off-road vehicles (ORVs) and snowmobiles were up 50%, motorcycle sales were up 31%, and its global adjacent markets -- its specialized military and commercial ORVs, quadricycles, and electric vehicles -- were up 27%. Sales of aftermarket parts rose 14%, and boat sales jumped 29%. All segments reported rising profits, too. That led Polaris to raise full-year guidance, and it now expects adjusted net income to be in a range of $9.00 to $9.25 per share compared to its prior outlook of $8.45 to $8.75, and some 18% above the $7.74 it generated in 2020. The sales outlook was also raised, and the company now forecasts revenue between $8.3 billion and $8.5 billion, up 18% to 21% year over year and ahead of its prior forecast of $7.95 billion to $8.15 billion.

  9. Why would I argue with a stupid question. Personally I know a bunch of healthy people that were sicker than a dog with Covid. One co-worker died. It came down to how many do I know sick with Covid vs a vaccine. Don’t know anyone that had vaccine problems so it was a no brainer for me. It’s a personal choice. I’ve got no issue with those who choose not to. I know you wear the tinfoil hat but the needle doesn’t scare me. The only stupidity is anyone judging someone who decided to take the jab.

  16. I'll never forget watching an NBC morning show where they had kids asking Lester, the shill, Holt about what they need to do even after they get their vaccination. SMH..KIDS! "It's still really important to wear your masks and sociial distance, kids...for the sake of others."

  18. None of my guns have every went and committed a crime much less killed someone on their own. We have a lack of respect for human life and it centers in and around the drug/gang culture. 80% of violent crime revolves around gangs and their control of certain "industries" which include drugs and human trafficking.

  19. without the platform, people kept it to themselves. If something torqued a person up, they got over it till morning after a good night sleep. Now, instantly posted before they have a chance to collect themselves, and in the meantime, every Tom Dick and Harry from here to timbucktoo gets to read about it and react and chime in and blow things out of proportion. It's fucking childish. This social media thing is ruining society. With your credentials, I can't believe you fail to see it.

  24. Liberalism breeds and fosters self-hate, frustration and anxiety over things they cannot control day to day...ie, things others are doing they can't make stop. Hell, I catch my wife from time to time getting herself worked up over issues that will probably never affect her at all. It's in their nature, I believe. VVVVVVVVVVV "Women are 40% more likely to develop depression than men. Due to lower levels of serotonin, we’re [women] also more likely to have anxiety and depression because of that deficiency. But biology and hormones aside, what about the choices we actively engage in? The behaviors we indulge, the beliefs and convictions we hold as more important than all the others? The people we spend our time with, the actions we devote our energy to, and the news we consume? Is that negatively impacting our mental health, or even more importantly, leading to medical diagnoses?

  31. I should have taken a pic of the back room at that place in Sconnie - they do Polka on Sunday's, every Sunday, and the place is PACKED. I mean, easily 100-150 people dancing and eating, sitting around chatting with each other, with a LIVE band on stage pumping the Polka music LOUD! I'm 55, and I would probably be the youngest person in the Polka room.... Not one single mask, not one open chair in the place. Social distancing at its finest for OLD people!

  35. 1st bold. Pretty sure I read the flu vaccine isn’t nearly effective as what they are saying these covid vaccines are. 2nd bold. Use your head. Why is that direction that you stated seem weird or not right? Probably because there’s more to it than just vaccinating people from a virus. Which is still a stand that I pretty much maintain to this day, all of this shit isn’t all about a virus. Not in the US anyway.

  36. I can believe it based on my parents serious side effects. She had vision issues after the first shot of pfizer and had a mild stroke after the second and still has wildly fluctuating BP. My dad had nothing but a sore arm after the first dose and has ongoing fluctuating BP issues after the second with dizzyness to the point he cannot stand up at times. They are both being monitored closely by their primary care physicians. Both doctors said the vaccine is likely the cause of their problems and both recommended they not get the booster when it is required in the coming months. Both of their PCP's and a retired MD that they are good friends with said the reporting and feedback system is completely fucked and lacking reliable data on serious side effects.
