  2. Had lunch with my dad today and we talked about the amount of three engine ferry flights he has done during his career at Trans Canada Airlines/Air Canada. I had an old picture he took, late 1950's out the window of Vickers Viscount he ferried home from Cleveland on three engines.....that is the number four engine shutdown and feathered.

  4. He flew with TCA/Air Canada 1951 until 1991, in those days 60 was retirement. He then flew the Lancaster at Hamilton until 2006 retiring as the worlds oldest Lancaster pilot, he did his last solo flight in 2011 at 81. He now flies with me. He flew 30000 hrs and since 1948 and never bent one airplane. Not bad I'd say....

  8. Cope spins to bring out a caution. WTF is he even doing out there? Drop the field down to 35 cars if that's what needs to be done. Field fillers who change the race is not what we need.

  9. I had an 85 Mustand GT 5 speed, my wife loved it. I remember being out for a walk and she was coming home from getting her nails done. She saw me walking and lit up the tires coming off the light at an intersection.....I watched with a smile, I thought that was pretty cool.

  20. That is true , the two seat AMX's are the real deal . But I have always loved the 71-74 for styling and looks .

  21. The real AMX cars were 68 and 69. After that they were Javelins with an AMX trim. I lost a nice 70 Javelin with the Mark Donahue special package by an hour a few years back. Instead I got a nice 68 Barracuda out of South Carolina, sold it and bought a bunch of old Vettes......no time for old junk anymore......just a nice a nice SL 550 with the AMG trim package sitting in my garage waiting for May....

  22. Sweet. Sucks about no insurance, but at least he's ok. My kid a an incident on his '12 TNT. Luckily I had insurance and only $250 deductable. Was mostly cosmetic, but still $2,900 total. I ended up doing all the work myself. I made out on it doing the labor myself. Wife and I are looking at places in the UP. N of 28 , between Paradise and Shingleton

  23. I had an 86 Mustang Gt and loved it. Wife didn't really like it, but I got rid of it when it would have required too much work to keep it going. Some guys also get rid of their wives when the maintenance is too much. Lol.

  27. It never ceases to amaze me the number of people that go into university still not knowing what they want to do with their life and the number of them that change their field of study part way through. It would be good if they had more help figuring this out earlier.

  30. Awesome program. I think the schools should give every kid an aptitude test in grades 4 or 5. Give them some idea what they might be good at, so they could channel their learning into an area where they feel they would be the most productive, and real good at it. Doesn,t matter if the tests pointed to being a good carpenter, painter, electrician, computer geek, doctor, or lawyer, or whatever. Everyone wants to be good at something. Give them some guidance at an early age, and let them decide.

  34. Summer car is the 02 Deville and I recently picked up a 2012 Chevy Cruze because I drive 124 miles a day getting to work 6 days a week. The Cruze is fun to drive has a 1.8 turbo 4 banger and will surprise you. Thing takes a corner better than any of the 80''s and late 90's Camaros i have had.

  37. Yes but you are likely capable of controling your vessel in tight quarters. Many dock smashers out there that are completely incapable. Beware they have your pristine gelcoat in their sights, you will make a great fender as opposed to the concrete wall..
