    • I can relate to anyone who hated traveling with a parent that smoked.  We traveled at least once a month (3+ hours) to my grandma's, when I was a kid, and my dad probably smoked half a pack.  The old cracking of the window did little to help get the smoke out of the car ... I hated it.  The only other person in my family to smoke is my brother, and that's mostly because he picked up the habit after serving in the USAF for 22 years. My dad is now 82, and has quit smoking since his triple bypass a few years ago.  He started when he was 12, so he smoked a LONG time.  Despite that, he's in relatively good health and still pretty darn active. As far as the OP goes, I just think it's bullshit ... plain and simple.  What's next, booze?
    • And another one is done with the dysfunction...  LaTurner acknowledged that "the current dysfunction on Capitol Hill is distressing," but added "it almost always has been; we just didn't see most of it."  https://www.axios.com/2024/04/18/jake-laturner-retire-house-gop-kansas   what a f'ng 🤡 show...

    • Yup....a bunch of Karen's who didn't appreciate being woken up by fireworks and an obnoxiously loud car that would leave a ton of black streaks when exiting on the roadway from my driveway.      Not sure what their problem was and really didn't care. My new neighbors are great ...they could give 2 shits and my one neighbor responds in kind with the fireworks. We get along great and he has done a lot of construction work on my home.    And guess what?   He  doesn't have TDS.
    • Dad died at 53 from a 3rd stroke. Heavy smoker. Mom died at 63 from stomach cancer. Heavy smoker. So far I’ve outlived both. My sister died recently at 82. Non smoker. She lived a good life.
