It was a 13lb free range, no gmo for the same price as a frozen one. I’ve done the water trick, but that does take a while. NaturallyAspirated Posted November 22, 2018 Share Posted November 22, 2018 Did a small bacon weave wrapped loin yesterday to run up the smoker for the turkey. It turned out fantastic. So soft and juicy it was able to be cut with a fork! I could have done a little better with getting the bacon crispy. #20 big bird ready for the smoker, put it on about 10:15 last night. Hit max q about an hour and a half ago, smoker was at 215 or so, zipped up to 275 for the last few hours to get the nice crispy skin.
