:news:

Considering I'm towing almost on the daily basis and using my truck as a truck I'll stick to the real engine that ford makes not the girly one you seem to like.

Present for my son and his Focus ST. Picked up from Facebook. Used for one summer then traded in.

I'm glad he bought this car since I get to buy toys for it.......lol

Cool dad :bc:

It's to bad the STs aren't available in AWD.  Would have be nice if it could be had optional

Ya you been towing that boat alot lately ive seen... EB is definitely not great for towing if you care about fuel costs....but gobs of power.

Are they going to put that 3.0 diesel in an F250?

I'd be more interested in that than the 6.7.

I went to 6.2's for my work trucks which work well, other than the mpg's.

No they are not. Half ton only

I've said it before.

If you need to tow that much you need a 3/4 ton+.

I don't care what the "specs" say.

Some people dont want a big deisel...ford half tons are rated at 13k now...dodge isnt even 9k

You'd have to be an idiot to tow 13k with a half ton!

I agree.

I've had 6500 lbs behind my '04 F1150 and it was all I could do to keep it on the road with a cross wind.

I wouldn't want to try that kind of weight behind my Dodge. Hell it squats with 4000 lbs trailer with minimal tongue weight.

Yep.  Bout 1000km a week or more lately.  Think we are taking the other guys stuff down to Winnipeg lol.  Gotta give blue berry a break and use his stuff.  Will see how his gas guzzling Ecoturd does.

Following in the Rams footsteps.

Lots of eco diesels running around here.

Same here but most dont tow.

All Ram 1/2 tons need bags.

I have em. Even with atv in the box it sags quite a bit. Few lbs of air and all good.

Built as highway trucks.  Ride is way better then the ford but the ford is still actually built to use as a truck

They are cool little cars. My son started off looking for a WRX but the prices are ridiculous in the used market. Then he moved to GTI's but we never found anything we liked and they are known to be expensive to repair and short on life expectancy.

AWD would be nice but he only had so much money to spend anyways. RS has that and the bigger motor. Too bad they cant keep the head gaskets in them.

I'd be interested in that 3.0 if it came in a 3/4 ton.

Can't put 2500 lbs in the back of a 1/2 ton but when I pull trailers they usually weight 4000-6000 lbs.

Need at least a 3/4.

2 of my F250's I've had the springs replaced with sets from F350's and plan to do my own work F250 this winter.

I don't need the mega power of the 6.7 or its shitty mpg's.

Why do the manu's not remember that the early diesel's were only 150 hp with 3 speed trans and they did everything we needed from a work truck?

They were simple tech and I ran them for years.

Cause everyone wants to compare the size of their dicks with who has the most power.

Same reason why a diesel truck is over 60grand for a base model.

Lots of Rams used as woods trucks here. 1500s 2500s and 3500s.

Compared to the 5.3 and 5.0 the Hemi is a beast.

All 1500s in reality are grocery getters compared to 15/20  years ago.

Nottrue at all...tow tatings are much higher now...except the dodge of course.
