Nobody injured suprisingly. Well that's good...23 years ago there was an explosion during the Venetian Festival fireworks here that killed a man and hurt many others. The july 4th fireworks here go off from a vacant island but the Labor day show goes off from a small barge and the area is cleared. We couldnt even see many of the boats anymore....just one big ball of light surrounding them. We got spooked, cant imagine how bad the people up close felt with the kids or small children. It had to be scary as hell....when the Venetian deal happened we were on the flat roof of a downtown store maybe a 1/4 mile away and the roof moved quite a bit. My then girlfriend now wife was working at a bar/restaurant that overlooked the Harbor and the windows blew out from the blast....eesssh.
