WASHINGTON (AP) — Records show the Trump administration's top environmental official met privately with the chief executive of Dow Chemical Co. (ticker: DOW) shortly before reversing his agency's push to ban a widely-used pesticide after health studies showed it can harm children's brains.

Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt's schedule shows he met with Dow CEO Andrew Liveris for about a half hour on March 9 during a conference held a Houston hotel. Twenty days later, Pruitt announced his decision to deny a petition to ban Dow's chlorpyrifos pesticide from being sprayed on food. That's despite the conclusions of his agency's own scientists that ingesting even minuscule amounts of the chemical can interfere with the brain development of fetuses and infants.

why are you equating these two cases? one is clearly giving the potential buyers the risks associated with their products, because tests have proven their product has different reactions to different people. the second case is allowing the ag industry to use a pesticide that has been shown to cause health problems, mainly in secret. are the products I intend to buy at the grocery store clearly labeled that they were produced using this pesticide?

What was the initial reason for the ban?  This article wants to make it seem like it was a secret use pesticide and it was hurting infants because that has a scare factor and it gets the panty waist city liberals all worked up.  The real reason was the fact that ag workers were being exposed to it.

You don't say...

Are some ag workers women?  Maybe even pregnant?

They get exposed to this, have their fetus damaged and you argue they shouldn't be able to have an abortion...
