Wouldn't you if that thing was going to be in your bed for 7 years?

He was one fucked up dude. Reminds me of spin dry. He didn't set out to have sex with a corpse but it was a odd progression of events over years. He "married" her 2 years after she died.  Crazy story. As nuts as it seems he was found legally sane to stand trial but was let off because it was past the statute of limitations. He lived out his years on his own with an effigy of his corpse bride

Not sure if they do it up there, but here you can sometimes donate the house to the local fire department(s) for practice burns.

I'd have to ask, but you might be able to get a tax write-off for it.

I have mandatory property inspections 4 times a yr . don't like it don't sign the lease . I also have 12 hr not 24 for notice in there

Both very common here.  I don't know anyone who doesn't have those in their lease agreements.

The house is surrounded by trees...it will need to be torn down....the trees act as a wind break.

Here you can't overrule the landlord and tenant act.

My brother and I own and manage 31 units, including 12 section 8 properties.  Thats ridiculous.  What kind of tenants, month to month?

Might as well gut it and turn it into a men's lodge then!

no 12 mo .but I have been at this shit for 40 yrs and have seen and delt with enough shit to take the time to take a day every 3 mo to go over every property I own and manage . I go in under the pretense of mechanical inspections . but mostly looking for people fucking up a property .

I know if you are dealing with section 8 and not doing inspections it is costing you way more than a day pay every 3 mo

IMO , This landlord just took the money and ran with it .   When a landlord cares about his investments  , he will have in place a signed rental agreement that will state that the landlord  can enter the property  with notice given to the renter to do routine  maintenance  to the property. Furnace  filters , gutter cleaning , windows and screens , etc.  This should have never happened with a landlord that gives a fuck.
