Facts about Obstruction of Justice

Its a crime for Comey not to immediately report obstruction of justice to his superiors.

John Lauro, a defense attorney with the Lauro Law Firm based in Tampa and New York City, told ABC News it remains unclear whether Trump obstructed justice.

"It depends on the evidence, which right now amounts to triple and quadruple hearsay," Lauro said. "If Comey felt there was obstruction he would have been obligated to advise the Attorney General and formally open an investigation, none of which appears to have happened."

David McIntosh, a lawyer and former congressman who is now the co-founder of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies in Washington, D.C., defended Trump, saying the president "acted appropriately" if he was providing guidance to Comey on the investigation.

"It is important for us to step back and remember that, under the Constitution, the president has the authority and power to enforce the laws," McIntosh said at a press conference Wednesday morning. "The FBI director reports to the president and it is the president's decision to delegate authority on investigations. In delegating that authority, presidents have wisely chosen to insulate the FBI from political interference. But the president still has the power and authority to direct the FBI how to do their job."

didn't comey testify before congress less than two weeks ago that nobody had asked him to stop an investigation?

I was getting to that and yes I believe he did.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/may/18/james-comey-higher-ups-never-asked-halt-fbi-invest/

James Comey, just-fired FBI director, said in a Senate hearing earlier this month that he’s never been asked by higher-ups to back off an investigation for political reasons — and that doing so would’ve been an eyebrow-raising “big deal.”
The Q&A with Democrat Sen. Mazie Hirono didn’t name President Donald Trump’s name. But given the recent Comey memo, in which he asserted Trump tried to stop the FBI investigation of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, the under-oath testimony is an interesting consideration.
Here’s what was said, as noted by the Washington bureau chief for The Rebel media, Jack Posobiec, in a Twitter post.
First, Hirono askedComey: “So if the attorney general or senior officials at the Department of Justice opposes a specific investigation, can they halt that FBI investigation?
And Comey’s response: “In theory, yes.”
Hirono: “Has it happened?”

Comey: “Not in my experience. Because it would be a big deal to tell the FBI to stop doing something that — without an appropriate purpose. I mean where oftentimes they give us opinions that we don’t see a case there, and so you ought to stop investing resources in it. But I’m talking about a situation where we were told to stop something for a political reason, that would be a very big deal. It’s not happened in my experience.”

And how did Posobiec characterize that testimony?

He headlined his tweet this way: “Comey said under oath that Trump did not ask him to halt any investigation — 5/8/17 #ComeyMemo.”

Fake news comes in many forms.  It use to be news articles or reports, now we have news STORIES.

Here are the 3 most commonly used.

1. Using "sources" that don't exist or are not corroborated.

2. Intentionally leaving out facts that would change the theme of the story.

3. Use headlines to put forth a narrative the whole story often doesn't follow.

3. Using "quotes" that seem to start then end, then pick up mid way again leaving out the whole statement. Stub-toeing the facts to ensure a narrative push

4. Opinions by the writer (or-co author) awkwardly put in and hidden during quotes of the "target" making it seem like that was their statement.

5. A statement, then...a full paragraph of a breakdown of what the "target" meant by it...even though it has no reference to it at all.  "splaining"

Nice find!  It's not really him though....it's an actor Trump hired to recreate it all.  If you look closely, you can see the cardboard cutouts in the background.

Delivery Boy and Friends:

Another example of you clowns propagating fake news :owned: again :lmao:

Traders misinterpret a Comey video that they think clears Trump

  • Comey was asked in the video whether the attorney general or senior Justice Department officials have ever asked him to halt an investigation.
  • Conservative websites misconstrued the video to mean neither Trump nor anyone else had ever asked Comey to end a probe.
  • U.S. dollar spikes and stocks rise as the video circulates.

A video of ex-FBI Director James Comey testifying before Congress earlier this month has given some traders hope that President Donald Trump will avoid any allegations from Comey that the president may have tried to impede an FBI investigation.

Those seeing exoneration from the video, which is being shared by various conservative sites and through social media, appear to be misinterpreting the question that Comey was asked by Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii.

Here's the full exchange. Comey is never asked about Trump. He is asked about the U.S. attorney general or "senior officials" at the Justice Department:

Good one.  And it most definitely is the single biggest "witch hunt" by a group of the largest group of self validating whiners in the history of America.  A group who are doing all they can to twist facts, never mind that...just making shit up all together and using their media to feed it grotesquely to the masses of self proclaimed "intellectually elite".

Yummy though!  Right?

Yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy!!!!!!!!!
