Some of the posts in this thread are incredibly stupid, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Paul McCartney are some the greatest songwriters to grace the earth, and to have all three in one band for 10 years while selling over 600 million records is a testament to what a great band they were.

They spit out records like a black woman does fatherless babies in the geddo.....not much thought for either.

I can live with that.

Was the OP easily the #1 music event of the 20th century in your opinion?  :dunno:

Maybe youre reading too deep into what someone says, would you be this big of a dick about his opinion in person?

It's crazy to even think of a band that has three of the top 100 songwriters of all time much less two of them that are ranked #2 and #3, I know I will never see that kind of talent in a band again in my lifetime and I would be surprised if it would ever happen again.

#1 Bob Dylan

#2 Paul McCartney

#3 John Lennon

BTW I prefer The Rolling Stones...The Beatles degenerate cousins.

Stones stood the test of time. The Beatles were great and certainly not simplistic in their music but they had a finite run. If they had continued to play as a group, they probably would have become irrelevant like many bands from that era.

It all seems great compared to the shit that passes for music nowadays............. Not even singing to music you lifted.

I still think Fleetwood Mac - Rumors was one of the best albums ever.

the beatles had the wits to know that as a group, it was over for them creatively. they could've stuck it out like ted nugent and blue oyster cult and played county fairs and casinos. but what would've been the point?

Just look at what Harrison, Lennon, and McCartney did after the Beatles, it was real far from being irrelevant.

McCartney is still selling out huge outdoor stadiums, and the vid below with Rihanna, and Kanye was #3 on the charts in August 2015.

i think mccartney is worth $1.5 billion. david grohl had to be carried out of paul's house by taylor swift after a few tokes of paul's special blend.

Ageless and timeless.

Still plays as well today as it did when released.

I loved that record but that is 1 more thing the Clintons destroyed for me. I here don't stop thinking about tomarrow and all I can picture is bill and Hillary clapping and dancing like out of tempo
