listen fuckhead .....we are not the arbiters of what has "worked out so well" around the world. That type of attitude is what costs us trillions of dollars and countless young lives all for no good reason. You can't acknowledge our transgressions and the many like you are the reasons we a doomed to repeat them perpetually until we exist no longer.

I love how we are touted as the "Gold Standard" and everything else is "hasnt worked" yet we have the most debt, highest incarceration and not even in the top 10 for health care or education. Seems like we could do better and maybe some of the things we've been doing "hasnt worked"

Such a bootlicker.   I promote getting out of basically every country around the world.  I admit Iraq was a huge mistake.   I'd like to see our military spending cut in half as long as vets and soldiers can still be well taken care of.  I'd like to see our federal govt shrink in half.   I'd like to see power going back to the states.

Just because I don't completely agree with your notion of history doesn't mean shit.  Have we been perfect....fuck no.....have countries benefited both economically and in general from our intervention.   Yes.   I just don't want to spend another life or dime doing it.

Anler is a part time Libertarian. I thrive in my market because I am adaptable. When things change, I change. Being stubborn and cemented in your beliefs is not a quality anyone of great success embraces.

And I dont hate my country, I hate things about it. Im like Trump, "I like to think of myself as flexible"

In the form it currently takes it does. It has a voice and a means of being viable now. Of course it existed since Islam existed, but if you don't think we (the west, not just us) are one of the main factors fueling it, then you are fooling yourself. I've spent years with the angriest of sand folk... Pretty obvious what drives their reasons for radicalizing. Especially when they tell you why they shot up your COP or were laying IEDs. It wasn't because of internal country reasons...

Do you think that the Talibans rise to power was not in response to foreign influencers occupying their land? Russia wanted Afghanistan for what purpose? Read your history momo.

They produce Opium not Oil :guzzle:

I'm not saying they are pillars of society I'm ONLY proving there is benefit to both Countries.   That is it.  You and Ben act like we are stealing resources when its simply not true.   Its up to their own people to decide if they want to sell internationally.  If they want to overthrow who gains financially the most in those countries let them do it.

We have stuck our nose in places all over the world.  Some with good results some with not.   We ignore human rights in places when claiming we are there to help in others.  I wouldn't debate any of that.   The only thing I'm saying is there is financial and economic gain for both countries.  We don't "steal" resources.

They benefit way more they don't know the first thing about developing their resources, they are Bipolarhooknose level stupid. If it wasn't for the west they would still be fucking camels and living in tents :guzzle:

yes ....we enable the stealing of resources with our military. We are there to prevent any state owned control of those resources by countries that dont want our brand of help

Didn't work out too well in Iran did it Bipolarhpooknose????? Britain developed their oil reserves then they tried to nationalized them so the US installed a puppet government which fell to Islamist radicals :flush:  State owned and controlled everything now, just how you like it

IMHO we are somewhere in the middle of the big bad giant only out to steal resources and the protector and spreader of democracy for the good of mankind.

We've fucked up sometimes with bad intentions sometimes with good intentions.  What I've learned and come to believe no matter the reason, no matter the intention its not worth it in lives lost on all sides and the financial cost to be the worlds policeman.   Countries and regions need to sort shit out on their own.

No but there is over $1 trillion in minerals in the ground over there...

Needed to go back to this.

We spent billions helping Afg defeat the Soviet Union.   Did it with money and no expectations of return in minerals or anything else.  If we did post up some links.  Did we fuck up when a power vacuum was left?  That can be argued over and over again but the fact remains I don't see how we were doing it for their minerals or anything else.  We wanted payback for Vietnam and to hurt the USSR financially.   It worked.   We disappeared from there until after 9/11.

Power vacuum? We set up the Mujahideen and the Taliban in Afghanistan. We just didnt want the Soviets to get control of that stuff and we had no real cause to go in. HOw convenient that the guy we set up and trained to keep the Soviets out would come back and attach us and then we would have to go back and fight the people we were helping? 16 years ago and we are still there? In a country that hasnt attacked us and poses no threat to us.

Maybe we didn't want the Soviets to get control but LIKE I SAID we weren't in there taking it either.

It was about the spread of Communism and that is all it was about, same as with Korea and Vietnam, don't let the Nazi Pig Dog and his alternative historical facts tell you otherwise  :guzzle:

Now we are...

Yes but even you have to admit there was some just cause there and much of the early ground fighting against the Taliban was done by the Northern Alliance with assistance from the CIA and US military (mainly special forces on the ground.)

So how many Americans did we send to fight and die so North Korea and Vietnam would not fall into Communism? Well that was a worth while endeavor, eh fuckstick?
