I can see how a guy would want to take a stand for women who want to push out just the top of the head so the doctor can shove a spike in it then toss it in the sink to shake for a bit before going cold . a true hero for human rights Nobel worthy even

Okay so it's the Democrats fault this abortion of a bill didn't pass?  Hahahahahaha

The Republicans who were against it were "smart" and not "blind sheep" for not "rubber stamping" THEIR bill but the Dems are idiots for not voting for it?

What kind of fucked up logic is this?

Repubs now own the ACA in my opinion. They had the power and failed. It is like the idea of possession being 9/10 of the law. They utterly failed. Now when it does fail the media and country will crucify them. Best thing that could have ever happened for the Dems. They got to wash their hands. They look like a divided party of self serving egotistical pricks. If they came to the table and oozed transparency and bipartisan spirit they would be heroes. Instead: Dicks in hand blaming each other. How sad. At least the Dems could all get on the same page.

Well that's reasonable since the Republicans had lots of time to participate in Obamacare.  It took what?  Over a year, with lots of input from all over the country etc.  The Dems weren't even given a chance to participate in crafting TrumpCare.  17 days from the bill being announced until a forced vote?  Why would the Dems want any part of that fucking bullshit?  So much for being a great "dealmaker".  Trump couldn't get a deal done even when he holds all the Aces.

Trump will take the blame for removing the mandate and killing the aca,. without fulfilling his repeated promise to repeal and replace with coverage for everyone.

Or had a preexisting condition.

Seems as though despite having years to write a new, better plan and Trump promising better, cheaper coverage for everyone they couldn't even convince themselves they had a better plan.

Don't hold your breath for the admin to just handout mandate exemptions willy nilly, or to jump in the legal minefield of instructing the IRS to quit enforcing the mandate.

first day he issued a ex order . so at min u have min of 3.5 yrs u don't need to file your proof of insurance on your taxes . that amount of time and the so called aca will be log dead on its own .

President Donald Trump, fulfilling a campaign promise to start to repeal Obamacare on Day 1, signed an order directing federal agencies to waive enforcement of large swaths of the law.

The one-page order allows the head of the Department of Health and Human Services or any other agency with authority under the law, not to enforce regulations that impose a financial burden on a state, company or individual.

It's so broad it could allow many of the law's provisions, including many of taxes it imposes on insurers and the requirement that individuals buy insurance, to die from lack of enforcement.

The order is an important political act for Trump, who pledged throughout his campaign that he would act quickly to roll back the health care law. Its reach, however, depends upon exactly which provisions he decides to target.

The order comes as Trump's pick to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, Rep. Tom Price, R-Ga., is awaiting his confirmation hearing and vote, which could come within days or weeks.

It's unclear how much of this order could be carried out before Price, if he's confirmed, is installed at HHS.

Trump's order also pushes one of his favorite health care ideas — to allow insurance companies to sell policies across state lines — by encouraging "the development of a free and open market in interstate commerce for the offering of healthcare services and health insurance, with the goal of achieving and preserving maximum options for patients and consumers."

It lands just as members of Congress are working to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.

Trump and Republican lawmakers have promised that any repeal would be followed immediately by a replacement for the law and they've said that anyone who has insurance through the ACA will not lose it in the transition.

"While President Trump may have promised a smooth transition, the Executive Order does the opposite, threatening disruption for health providers and patients," said Leslie Dach, director of the Protect our Care Coalition, a group of organizations trying to save the Affordable Care Act.

Health policy analysts have warned that repealing the unpopular parts of the law such as the taxes or individual mandate could lead to the collapse of the individual health insurance market. This executive order could allow those provisions to be rolled back before a replacement bill is ready.

Republicans in Congress have laid out a number of broad road maps for a new health care law but have yet to reveal a specific bill that would show how many people will get insurance coverage or how much it might cost.

Here I only know 6 folks on the ACA, 4 of them pay nothing as they only work for cash and claim zero income, they also are on other freebies including Food Stamps according to them, and they love to brag about it, of the other two, 1 pays about $400 a month he claims,, and has a $4,000 yearly deductible, and the other guy pays close to $600 a month, both work but have rather low paid jobs, one is retiring next week and will be on S.S.- with the ACA price going up 6.5% every year they said they won't be able to stay on it so they'll pay the penalty and then just have to pay off any doctor & hospital bills they accrue. One these freebie guys lives year round in a 10'X10' garden shed in his sisters back yard, he has no drivers license after 3 DUI's. Don't believe it? Stop in here anytime and I'll take you there.
