Releasing the transcripts of the call between Flynn and the Ambassador was illegal too but that didn't stop them. Also, keep in mind any electronic surveillance of a foreign leader thru FISC and a FISA warrant that captures communications of a private American citizen is suppose to be destroyed. Not handed out to the Washington Post. Knowing they could get caught, lose their job and go to jail, pay fines would deter most. I never saw the transcripts only heard that some existed, and the WH was given a heads up about them. It really can't be all that hard to find out where the leak came from. You would think not but remember the order Obama signed that basically passed out intel between all 16 agencies before they were confirmed or looked into. That makes it much harder. God only knows how many people had access to it. One needs to ask themselves why Obama did this just days before he left office. If this was good thing for the IC it should have been done long ago. That makes it much harder. Still not that hard if they really wanted to find out. And all intel should be shared between agencies. Maybe all the agencies protect one another when one of them proves we are being lied to, like in the Flynn case, or maybe someone in the WH leaked it to make it look like they are being picked on, part of the plan to play the media so to speak.
