Eh...place is dead.  And Slinger can't find a safe place to come up for air.  He doesn't need me piling on too.

So, looks like you're "IT".

But, I'm losing interest and I'm tired.  So.......

The Party of Putin: How Republican Hatred of Barack Obama Led to Their Anti-American Stance

For eight years Republicans told us all about Barack Obama.

What they told us was not rooted in fact but rather good old-fashioned racism disguised as patriotism. They wanted the man, and as an extension of him the Democratic Party, to fail. They hated who he was and what he represented, not only as a politician, but as a larger than life figure that gave hope to millions of poor and working class Americans. His triumphs would be the triumphs of the American people whom he had empowered through his words and actions. If the country succeeded then it would be Barack Hussein Obama's photo that would become a staple of American households, becoming a new generation's Ronald Reagan. Living in a world where all this could potentially happen was simply too much for Republicans to endure.

So they created a Barack Obama that never truly existed and presented this version of the president to their followers. In Republicanland, there existed a Barack Obama for eight years that intentionally tried to ruin the country. Every one of his executive orders would be government overreach. Obamacare would kill us all. His support for an increased minimum wage would bankrupt cities. His advocacy for marriage equality would destroy the social fabric of our nation. His international "apology tour" would ruin our reputation abroad. The Iran Deal would empower terrorists. The Paris Climate Agreement would lead to massive jobs losses here at home. The opening of Cuba would be an unmitigated disaster. And even in moments when he wasn't engaging in disastrous policy decisions, Barack Obama would be the "vacationer-in-chief," someone for whom the job of being president was simply too much to handle.

Today, Republicans' worst fears are being realized as Donald Trump is actually the exact person they pretended Barack Obama was for eight years.

Less than six weeks into his presidency, Trump has already tried his best to intentionally ruin the country
. His cabinet is grossly unqualified and his administration has already had more leaks than the lower levels of the Titanic. His Muslim ban executive order was shot down and was a clear example of government overreach. His support to repeal the ACA will literally kill thousands of Americans, making congressional Republicans the overseers of an actual death panel. His withdrawal of transgender protections puts the health and safety of an entire population of Americans at risk. His upcoming executive orders to undo environmental protections will irreparably damage our planet. He has been mercilessly mocked on the world stage due largely in part to his already having incidents involving China, Australia, Mexico, and Sweden and now he's so toxic that he can't even address the British Parliament. All this "winning" has been so exhausting that Trump had no choice but to depart to the Southern White House this weekend for the fourth time in six weeks.
