Looking at it for new truck.

Sales guy says its the best protection from stone chips especially with painted bumper.

The 2011 F250 I sold in the Fall had 475,000kms on it.

Hood & headlights were done when new and looked new when I sold it.

I had to redo the headlights at one point but not the hood.

I think it was around $200.00 for hood & headlights.

I just had my new truck done. Ford

After 1000 km had stone chips on painted bumper.

Did bumper, hood, fenders, lights, front between lights.

They laser cut to exact shape of truck.

3m is the best product, some use a shit product.

I would guess the dealer just uses one of the local tint shops.

I know they contract out some things but I believe they do it in their body shop themselves. You get enough volume it makes it worthwhile.

Did you guys use the dealer or a third party?

I used Trim-Line in Oshawa.

Googling Trim line in the GTA:

Looks like this outfit is in Oshawa as well. I can't seem to find anything in York Region. Ask around

Third party, tint, detail shop.

Not cheap for me. I didn't shop around was in a hurry before my next 1600 km road trip to sled.

$1000 but saved a bit putting through the company name

It looks like hell, especially as it ages.  I'd rather have the chips which I can easily touch up.

Kinda like bug deflectors, bras of years past.  Sure, they helped the paint, but looked like hell while they were on.

same here.... you can't see it on mine. If you get up real close and look for it you can see the edge where it starts
