Unless something changes, Capitalism will starve the planet by 2050

I reject that, everyone is good at something. And those that truly cannot contribute shouldn't be sentenced to a life of shame and poverty.

I admire your naive optimism.  Everyone in the human race will never be "equal".  That's why capitalsim works best.  And communism fails every time.

Eating has become Americas #1 pastime.  Americans are eating themselves to death has far surpassed   smoking as the #1 threat.  Everything evolves around eating.

I can't believe the amount of food we throw away in a week.

There is no form of government that is going to work for the woman having six kids, with six dads, before they are 25.  You are signing up for a life of hardship & poverty.

We have several sets of friends who we all had kids at the same time, the ones who got pregnant as kids, dropped out of school, are struggling, capitalism is not working for them, for some reason.  Our daughter is going on to buying her second home.

Interesting how the happiest countries on the planet are not "capitalist" per se, but are social democracies.  Interesting too that the self proclaimed "best country in the world" ain't in the top 10.

"Per se"?

You don't know what capitalism is.  All of those countries allow rewards and upward social and economic advancement for those willing and able to work for it.

Also, there is something else all of those "top ten" have in common.  Something very distinct.  Do you know what it is?

Yea, none of those countries have Americans, Republicans or Trump.

Most of those countries would be labelled as "socialist" by Republicans and Trump supporters.

You don't even know what the liberal arts are. You just hear the word 'liberal' and your Pavlovian response kicks in.

I sure as hell do.... :lol2: Something tells me you don't

"liberal" arts. This means that your courses will be in general areas of study--philosophy, mathematics, literature, art history, languages, and so on--rather than in applied or specialized fields. A liberal arts education is not intended to train you for a specific job

Gee... literature happens to be the useless degree I referenced as an example. Art history is another one that will prepare you for NOTHING in the real world except working at the Qwiki-Mart.

Also philosophy, mathematics, physical and social sciences...

But it's got 'liberal' in the name so it's gotta be bad.

The days of having a job for 30 years without learning new skills are gone. People are going to have to stay on top of things and learn new skills to stay competitive in the job market. :bc:

Absolutely.... our department built into our budget the costs of sending each person for offsite education for 10 days each year. In some cases some people got more.

Or we could just do what we were good at for as long as we felt like it and not have to worry about starving or being homeless.

So when you're tired of earning your keep just sit back, do sweet f* all and get everyone else to support your lazy ass. :lol2:

Are you serious right now?

Capitalism absolutely requires the force of the state to exist. It needs police protection, courts, issuance of currency, and of course new areas to exploit. New areas often acquired with state power and state monopoly on violence.

It also hates competition, which is why you've seen every single anti capitalist state taken down by imperial capitalists.

Growth for the sake of growth is the ideology of a cancer cell.

The same was said about feudalism. No slave ever lived better than the peasant subject. No peasant ever lived better than the wage slave. It's a logical fallacy.

You can't be real. Communism doesn't need police protection :lol2:Some of the worlds most notoriously corrupt police forces have been associated with communism. You suggested Russia was closest to your ideal. Ever hear of a group called the KGB. What a fool.

No, I didn't suggest that.

Arguably Russia went from a backwards agrarian wasteland to a global superpower in a matter of decades, so there's that. Not really communism by my standards, but it is by normie standards.

But I'm sure you'll say it led to massive death and destruction, which is absolutely true. What will bother me the most is you will say it while denying capitalism has done the same.

You stated that the Soviet Union was state run Capitalism and now your using them as a non-capitalistic example?  Their people lived like peasants - and that's a fact.  Now that they've turned capitalistic, many of their people are very wealthy.  You see them buying property here and on vacation all over the U.S.  Their people have benefited 100 fold leaving the communism ideology.  There's a former resident of the SU who owns a condo in the same building as my mom lives in Florida.  A nice talk with him would do your obsession against capitalism a world of good. The standard of living for the people in the former SU has gone through the roof since the fall of communism.  Is capitalism perfect? Hell no.  It's still the best we have on the planet.  :bc:

Can you be any more stupid? :lol2: You must be on something more potent than usual. In my post I referred to philosophy, mathematics, literature, art history, languages, and so on.

Then you come back with also philosophy, mathematics, physical and social sciences. Kind of proves your comprehension is below average or just plain selective. You tried to add what I already referenced.  :lol2:

He won't... we've already offered to pitch in for him to emigrate to the utopia of his choice. It seems he's found it and it's here even though he won't acknowledge it. After all he'd have to give up to much of the lifestyle capitalism has afforded him.
