francecar is in deep financial   trouble with swilling stumble bum  brian at the helm , team charter failure , impossible for a small scrappy team to even show up ,  tv ratings in the shitter , ad revenue  way down , corporate monies drying up , team owners getting old - retirement , crappy boring new tracks , tracks removing seats and stands, Bristol track banking experiment  is a disaster , turning their backs on former historic tracks that always  had steady butts in the seats. This isn't Big Bill's  hard work an vision today......................

Poor ckf :news:

Can you say "this is his last year?"

Quote

Earnhardt, Jr wants to retire on his own terms: Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s highly anticipated return to Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series racing is less than one month away. No one is more enthusiastic about the most popular driver's comeback than Earnhardt, who spoke with media during Wednesday morning's segment of the 35th Annual NASCAR Media Tour hosted by Charlotte Motor Speedway. Earnhardt hasn't competed since last July at Kentucky Speedway when the aftereffects of a concussion he sustained in a crash in June forced an early end to the 26-time race winner's season. During his time out of the car, Earnhardt had an eventful December which saw the Hendrick Motorsports driver get married and get cleared to return to action this year. He still had a decision to make, though.
"To get approved to race is one thing but to decide to race is another," Earnhardt said. "You have to make the decision if you want to keep racing and if you want to keep racing you've got to give 100 percent. ... I had to answer a lot of personal questions from myself and just really buy in (to returning). All of that was a process and I'm really happy with what I decided to do. I'm just hoping to enjoy what's left of my career and hopefully I get to make the decisions myself as far as how much longer I want to race. I'm really excited about my future."(Charlotte Motor Speedway Media Tour Notes)

My obsession is becoming your obsession. :slapping:

LOL, you just don't like what I say about him. I like JR too, and root for him from time to time. I just think he is going to retire soon while he is still in good health. I'm really surprised he came back this year to be honest. I don't think I would do the same if it were me.

Think the France family will own the sport 5 years from now?

That is a question yet to be answered, swilling brian will go into rehab a couple of times before that day of  decision comes. I have hope that Lesa can take the helm before francecar  is beyond repair, like IHRA, AHRA , CART , Indy Car.

F1 brought $4.4 billion, so I'd say NAPCAR is worth half that, and someone could probably find that much value in it.

Would be interesting for sure to have some fresh blood running the show.

  • 2 weeks later...

Only three more weeks until Daytona :yahoo:  For the first time I'll be participating in a Nascar Pool, thanks for the invite @Dave It would be nice to get more FS Nascar fans to join in. I don't know all of the details yet, so maybe Dave can give an overview of how it works. The cost is $20 CDN for the season, I just sent mine in and it cost me $15.80 US.
