The company who does my excavations built their first set 25 years ago and they have been refining them ever since. They did a major rework this winter converting them from gas power (1 Honda 9hp unit per belt section) to electric motors. There is a generator in the driveway and cords that run to each belt section. They can run up to 8 belt sections per generator. Belt sections are either 20 or 40 feet each with a stacker unit at the street which drops the fill in to the box of a triaxle dump truck. The craftsmen ship is like nothing you see today.
