Accounts for 30% of the impact from what I've been told.  Still like shooting starting fluid into a motor that hasn't been started in a while.  You still gotta get it started.

oh good, neither do I   :bc:  Remind me what I was saying 12 years ago some other time.

that's always been the logic, and why you don't deficit spend in good times. All I will say on it!

I guess you missed the "no other choice" part in your zeal to score a political point.  A quick take on a webex today....why the market is performing so well....off the top of my head....savings rates are up 10% in the past month, 30% of that due to the stimulus.  Families are sitting on a lot of cash, they're looking for return on that money. CDs suck, bonds not much better.  Hundreds of billions are flowing into the market, so a good portion of those gains are due to regular folks putting money into the markets.

So basically free money given to people from the government raised savings, and the FED spent 3 trillion in 7 weeks much of that went into the market, in other words socialism to the rescue.

In you zeal you never mentioned Trumps reckless spending, I wonder why?

I agree. I simply think the depression era ideology has gone the way of the dodo and massive liquid injections into the economy are the new norm, and probably the lesser of 2 evils.

However it wasn't accepted as such by many 10 years ago.

Not accepted? It was fought tooth and nail then and now it's cheered.

Well one big difference is last time it was Wall street this time it's main street so attitudes are different from that alone

No, not at all there was 3 fucking trillion in 7 weeks from the FED. to buy bad paper and they were making available 1 trillion per day , in addition to the stimulus package, more was spent already than the entire bailout form 08/09 and it is estimated that it will be between 5 and 8 times as much.

This just like golfing and so many other things that were so bad before are cheered now by the real snowflakes.

Every analyst I listen to agreed that the workers needed some temporary relief when this pandemic hit.  You apparently disagree.  I'll take their word for it, cuz I know plenty of small business owners who's income just STOPPED.  People waiting 1-2 months for their first unemployment check.  They have bills to pay.

In your zeal to hate Trump you never mentioned that he has been proposing a balanced budget amendment as part of his platform, along with term limits,  but guess who's probably fighting him tooth and nail over it.  I wonder why?  We can argue that he shouldn't have given the tax cut, but it went to working families, put more money in their pockets, and stimulated the economy to levels we haven't seen since after WWII.  Playing hindsight revisionism over whether that would happen if he didn't do the tax cuts, is just not intellectually honest.  So reject the "reckless" charge.

No,as I have said numbers of times I agreed now and then, guys like you only agree with it now. I think any company getting money should have limits as to CEO and board member pay, I thought that from 08 and now.

Because Trump says a lot of shit, but didn't do shit about it that is the point. Oh and he had all 3 houses too.     On the tax cuts I saw him with my own eyes heard him with my own ears say that the middle class would get the biggest break and he might even pay more, that didn't happen, MC got the least.  Trump has never had a GDP that was 3% for a year, in fact he has never had more than 2015 and raised debt and deficit at the same time.

Debt and deficit are the greatest threat to our nation! Tea party protesters marching in the streets, now that we are going to spend 5 to 8 times that much and the FED has record balance sheets that will likely hit 10 trillion, all is good.

Think about it he actually spent more in his first 3 years than Obama's last 4, and nearly doubled the deficit and that was before the virus.

You know Pelosi has another 3 trillion bill on deck? What’s that going to do for the deficit? Why aren’t you pissed about that?

Not 1 dime of it will get spent without Trumps signature now will it?  Remember who al all the spending was blamed on the previous 8 years? Same rule apply now.

Well you can blame Trump if it makes you feel better about the criticism of your guy. I think it’s a much bigger problem with plenty of blame to go around. It’s obvious to me the NOBODY in Washington gives a fuck about this.

Just applying the same standard for both.  Even though one inherited 2 wars, a recession, the aftermath of the financial collapse in the US and the world, and UE trending toward 10%, the other inherited sub 5% UE, record emerging markets, the longest bull market in history, debt and deficit trending downward.  Republicans in DC and right on this board cared deeply about spending from January 09 to January 2017, not after. I guess trillion dollar debt and deficits only matter at certain times.  So to leave it perfectly clear when things were really bad Republicans were 100% against trillion dollar debt and deficit,  when things were better  Republicans were no longer worried about either debt or deficit, when things went bad again, the Dems. gave no resistance to spending and neither did the Reps. Seems like one side changes it's position depending on who is in office.

You keep focused on the partisan trash. One day you’ll realize we’re getting screwed by both sides.

I just pointed out facts, pure,  plain, and simple.   And I agree it's partisan trash to cry like a cunt about something and then cheer the exact same thing.  And I'm well aware both side screw us, one just helps the rich a little more.

We get it, any criticism of Obama hurts your feels. I don’t cheer for deficits under any president.  If Uncle Joe gets the gig we’ll still have huge deficits. That’s a fact.

No it doesn't hurt my feelings at all, in fact it makes me laugh watching people trying to justify the very same things they cried like little cunts about before.  You sure as hell haven't bitched about deficits since Jan. 2017 like you did before.  I see no way Biden wins, and if he does by some miracle you can bet your ass spending will suddenly be a big issue once again. That is a fact.
