2020 ZR 8000 RR Review

Recommended Posts

Greatest sled ever made according to @ACE but not the Lesters.  Thought about picking up a used one this summer but haven't made up my mind yet.  Waiting to see what Polaris comes out with for 2021.

Why won't Cat tell us why they made the motor changes?  Communication from Textron sucks.

Unless Cat has some new tech to show off on the race sled at Haydays, it's over for them folks.  The Barney sled about killed off Arctic Cat.  Then the Procross was much better but they botched the launch with quality and design issues.  Everyone jumped ship to Doo or Poo and won't come back unless Cat has something better than the competition.  Now they are bleeding the Procross dry 9 model years into it.  Wake up Cat, everyone who wants a Procross already has one.

So they really like it besides the foam density of the seat and say it can legitimately be called an 850 competitor, the new engine is a big win as is the front end?

so it’s basically as good for 5 grand less than a comparable doo not sure what I’m missing

fuel and oil economy on the new engine are quite good

yes the first couple years of the procross were hot garbage

they’ve done enough updates to that chassis that they could have called it an all new sled like doo did with the Gen 4

there's one sitting on the showroom floor of the local cat dealer listed at $4k off. Don't see that with Doo's or Polari top models

What are you waiting for? Go and snap that thing up and you can become part of the Kermit the Frog tickle team. :lmao:

A Cat RR 8000? If so then someone looking for one should buy it. Same sled as the 2021.

The doo and poo 800's are 850 competitors.

I hear as long as you drive 4-500 miles a year they're fn awesome, meanwhile the "No Cats Allowed" rule is back for any long rides unless they have their own tow... And spare plastics.... And anti-freeze... And ice scraper... And Sabertooth leather pit coat...
