No they arent. They are doing it because thats the future and many of them are years behind in tech. Would you rather have a vehicle that gets 20-30mpgs or one that gets 100mpgs and has better performance and less maintenance? Well we know what you would do but lots of younger people are going the other route. In 10 years you'll be filling up your GM v-8 at $10/ gallon while everybody else is going 1,000 mile on a charge.

I agree we are going electric but that statement is complete BS.

At some point even a liberal twat will realize alternative vehicles will have to pay for roads. That being said, I will go $100 with ya that gas will not be $10 a gallon 10 rs from now. In any state except Cali.

That wasnt the bet dummy

That will eventually end or be fixed . Many states ( mine I know of ) Power company has to pay ( or credit ) you full retail. That will change to wholesale at some point.

I have no doubt about that

Fossil fuels will play a huge part of our energy needs for the next 50 years.

All of the manus are moving towards electric vehicles. The roads are going to look alot different in 10 years. Sorry if that hurts your butt.

sorry if If you think that's a great idea with the current electrical grid that we have that can barely handle a hot day more or less a million cars plugged into it

cars would mostly be plugged in at night when the grids not overloaded.  add to it the personal/business solar generation that takes those off the grid and the system will handle a lot of vehicles.

what's stats is that from and where in the hell do you think that cars are only going to be plugged in at night?

regardless of any of it they better start doing some major overhaul to the electrical grid before they start producing way more electric cars otherwise it's kind of like putting the cart before the horse

Chicken

Not taking a bet dosnt mean someone is chicken , it means they believe it will probably happen.   I don't believe your chicken for not taking my bet. I believe you think you would lose.

How much solar is generated at night to charge your car? Some of these scenarios don't make sense.

Not much would put a large smile on my face than being able to tell the Ah-rabs to stick their oil up their ass because we're using electric cars.   All the bonuses that come with electric cars, faster,  simplicity, economical, and no emissions are just that - a bonus.

solar with storage is something that Musk has been pushing more and more so that people can truly be off the grid.

End of the day I don't think solar is the be all end all but it can certainly run a small households normal functions including powering EV.  IMO best solution to our energy needs (including powering EV's) is nukes.   we really should start opening more nuke plants to feed the populated areas.   that will give 24/7/365 feed to the grid

Coal is going by the wayside as a generation source.  Several large coal plants are shutting down out west over the next few years.  Natural gas and renewables are easily making up generation needs.
