The PCs & NDP asked the Premier 6 or 7 times whether or not she asked Sorbara & Lougheed to approach the Olivier to quit. The Attorney General Naqvi stood up all but once to blather away. The time Seabiscuit got up to wave her hands around she said she had been open with the Legislature and the public concerning the matter.

Freezerburnt is saying, "I told you so!"

I didn't care back when it happened and still don't care one little bit..... Just like I don't care that Brown was accused of Election fraud in Barrie.

Well there is a criminal charge pending now, someone gave the order.  Nice deflection.

they can execute them for all I care, ONEWAY - this will have ZERO affect on any of us.

Independent candidate Andrew Olivier has told CBC News that there never was a tape of his conversation with Premier Kathleen Wynne.

In December, Olivier made headlines for releasing two recorded conversations on YouTube he had with members of the Liberal party, including campaign director Pat Sorbara.

Something like having government employees working efficiently is a bad thing. How many people and trucks does it take to plant a tree? Yesterday the city decided it was time to plant trees on the boulevard on the one side of our street. The houses were only here for about 65 years.

Truck comes down the street with 3 people. As usual the driver only drives.

One gets out and paints an X on the ground then hooks the boom lift onto a tree.

Another operates the boom to set the tree on the boulevard. Union won't let them multitask it seems.

Guy that hooked up the boom now unhooks it.

They get back in the truck and drive 100 ft rather than walk the distance and repeat.

About an hour later another truck comes by with 3 guys and a 4th driving a bobcat.

The driver of course only drives. Two get out. One points to the X on the ground since the guy in the bobcat can't see it himself.

Bobcat driver augers a hole.

The guy that points hooks the tree to the boom.

The other one operates the boom to put the tree in the hole.

The one who hooked it up now unhooks it, grabs a shovel and piles the dirt around the base filling in the hole.

They get in the truck and drive the 100 ft and repeat.

7 people to plant a tree.... Insane. How about one guy to auger the hole in the bobcat and do that before the tree is dropped so you only lift it once, don't need two trucks and drivers and how about the driver of the truck with the trees actually get out hook up the tree drop it in the hole with the boom and unhook it. A total of two people instead of 7.

Seems a city department had money left in the budget and had to spend it or God forbid actually come in under budget for the year and give some of the budget back.

Hey hater of all, these employees are doing what they are told to do.  If you have a complaint (which your whole life is one long one) call the city and complain to the management about how they organize work loads.  but you won't you will just keep posting long winded posts on a snowmobile site about lazy workers

I don't hate everything as you suggest. I just object to the stupid waste of taxpayers money and wish that government would actually have some accountability on how they piss away that money. Run more like a business where cost is important. Of course you don't see anything wrong with this...you agree with the waste and sending 7 people and two trucks to plant trees.... and do it very stupidly. I wouldn't expect anything different from you. It is the environment you are employed in. Do as little as you possibly can, for as much money as you can hold your employer for ransom for and waste as much money as you possibly can while doing it.

I agree you have no idea really what it takes or any idea of safety laws.   Call the city and complain.  Make your long list of things that are not done correctly according to you.

You complain when they clear snow from your street, there is no end to your hatred of workers

It is unfortunate that city / government workers are branded as such lazy people but then again they dont do anything to remove that brand.

You never hear the city unions discuss productivity and doing more for the same amount.  Its always we need more people and more money to do the same work but after adding staff its actually less.

THen when you top it off with stories such as the Viagra rip off the taxpayers get seriously pissed.

My biggest mistake was not joining the city payroll full time when i was younger.

In all honesty laziness happens in all walks.  The issue is when employees are protected to the point where its almost impossible to discipline them, the productivity goes down the shitter.  There are many hard working public sector workers out there I am sure do not like the way they are labeled.

On the bold, one of my best buds says that all the time whenever we get together.
