I saw the same article and was going to post it as well. Too bad Trudope isn't smart enough to think things through before he opens his mouth or hits the keyboard.

The unintended consequences of being cavalier comes with costs.

For Canada, it began in last year’s winter of Trump discontent when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, his mouth overtaking his brain, mistook himself for the Statue of Liberty — “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses” — and suddenly the back door into our country became a rabbit hole.

You just showed up at some unmanned U.S.-Canada border point in Quebec or Manitoba, and you were out of Trump’s America and home free.

As Trudeau had tweeted without apparent forethought: “To those fleeing persecution, terror & war, Canadians will welcome you, regardless of your faith. Diversity is our strength. #WelcomeToCanada.”

Suddenly a trickle of queue-jumpers became a flood.

In less than a year, Canada became a human dumping ground, for those with legitimate fears for their lives or safety in their often dictatorial and corrupt home countries but also the economic refugees that have no agreed-upon merit on humanitarian grounds.

But, when opportunity knocks, opportunists take advantage.

On Thursday, Toronto Mayor John Tory found himself crying for help from the Trudeau Liberals for creating the bind that such a poorly thought out tweet from their leader had created for Toronto ratepayers.

Tory had already got news that could not be any worse.

Starting Monday, as a response to bitching from Quebec, the Trudeau Liberals have agreed to fast-track Quebec-entry asylum seekers directly to Toronto if that is their preferred destination.

The feds are calling this their “triage” plan.

Some plan.

The direct cost to Toronto for providing the unanticipated housing and accommodation for the influx of refugee claimants has already hit $64.5 million, and that’s before any promised “fast tracking”.

Quebec warned that the majority of refugees breaching its unmanned border south of Montreal would likely be heading to Ontario and particularly the multicultural magnet of Toronto.

Quebec was not wrong. Approximately 40% of the queue-jumpers in Quebec and Manitoba are already hunkered down in Toronto.

Refugee claimants, in fact, now take up 37.6% of the city’s entire shelter system, up from 11.2% just a year earlier.

And now the gates are about to open even wider.

Mayor Tory, burdened with these unintended consequences, has been pleading for assistance from the feds and Kathleen Wynne’s provincial Liberal government for over a year.

Quebec obviously got to Trudeau’s ear first.

The Trudeau Liberals have done nothing to ease the financial grief imposed on Toronto by their leader’s virtue-signaling tweet and are now about to pile on by “triaging” queue-jumpers from Montreal to Toronto.

The Ontario Wynne Liberal government has been equally deaf.

She and her politically corrupt government have simply stood back and watched, having spent the last 15 years in government doing little to assist Toronto’s growing and chronic need for shelter and  public housing space.

Instead they have allowed its inventory to deteriorate and fall into the kind of disrepair bordering on slums.

The crisis has now reached the breaking point.

“The City of Toronto is urgently requesting the federal and provincial governments facilitate a coordinated response to rising numbers of refugee claimants seeking shelter services,” reads Thursday’s press release out of Mayor Tory’s office.

When the mayor of the largest city in Canada has to go publicly begging for assistance from the higher-ups, it means both the Trudeau and Wynne governments have been ignoring him.

He will get nothing from Wynne, of course.

With a provincial election just 40 days away, she is too busy trying to save her political life and not be tossed onto the street herself and there are no votes to be had in helping refugees or the poor living in social housing.

Trudeau’s #WelcomeToCanada hashtag, meanwhile, stopped trending the moment back-door immigration started piling up costs.

He created the crisis, and now he needs to step up.

Helping Quebec fast-track claimants directly to Toronto, however, is not the answer, but the one John Tory is getting rammed down his throat.

Does the idiot Trudope ever think through the consequences of the BS that suddenly pops into his head. Just like his mandate for a carbon tax. Asked did you do an economic impact study he said NO asked will he and he said NO. Did he think through the consequences of throwing open the door to anyone who arrives in Canada and says I'm here now take care of me again... another resounding NO.

How much more damage can the drama teacher do. He's in way over his head.

new cell phone equals new tracking - simple when you see it from the inside

Yet more BS from the imagination of Fail expertise. Tracking... yeah right. A whole bunch of new cell phones from Bell offer so much more tracking than the ones they acquired a year ago.

So tell us Fail... how much money did your department have to piss away last minute to make sure all the money in the budget was spent?

There is so much protocol around interaction with the Queen that is the one thing he would never be forgiven for if he screwed that one up. No selfies with her either.
