We had a day in public school & 2 in high school where we celebrated all cultures. We didn't take a whole month to celebrate German, Scottish & Ukrainian cultures.

Wonder what happens next , probably fuck all.

If asked, the pols will just say, "Even if it didn't happen it's an example of what can happen if we don't create an inclusive society for newcomers blah blah blah"

They tend to over-report any incident against them and under-report any incident caused by them.  It does not appear to be a coincidence.

I can't believe who the fuck put her in front of the cameras and let her talk to the press.  This is not school protocol.

The Liberals trotted her out fast!

true

doubt you will see the little kid again

the mother was part of the media coverage... let her make an apology... but then again all you could see were her eyes so they could have anyone apologize and you wouldn't know the difference

filing a false police report is a serious crime that carries real consequences

https://thelawdictionary.org/article/what-happens-when-you-file-a-false-police-report/

Do you want to bet nothing is done about the crime the mother and her kid committed

Depending upon the jurisdiction, a false police report may be charged as a misdemeanor or a felony. Misdemeanor charges may result in jail terms of one year or less. Typically, the defendant must also pay fines. If a person is charged with a felony, they may be looking at more than a year in jail and substantial fines.

Ain't nothing gonna happen to her.

Justin got played again, this time by an 11 year old.  You would think the moron would have learned his lesson after Boyle, but no.

Trudeau is an utter embarrassment. I'm sure Butts is slapping him as we speak and telling him no more tweeting.

It is a crime in Canada to cause a police officer to enter on or continue an investigation with the intent to mislead them in any of the following scenarios:

(a) making a false statement that accuses some other person of having committed an offence;

(b) doing anything intended to cause some other person to be suspected of having committed an offence that the other person has not committed, or to divert suspicion from himself;

(c) reporting that an offence has been committed when it has not been committed; or

(d) reporting or in any way making it known or causing it to be made known that he or some other person has died when he or that other person has not died.

Jesus dude we know the law for fuck sakes, question is do you?

The Young Offenders Act (YOA; French: Loi sur les jeunes contrevenants) was an act of the Parliament of Canada, granted Royal Assent in 1982 and proclaimed in force on April 2, 1984, that regulated the criminalprosecution of Canadian youths.[1] The act was repealed in 2003 with the passing of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The act established the national age of criminal responsibility at 12 years old, and said that youths can only be prosecuted if they break a law of the Criminal Code (previously, youths could be prosecuted or punished solely on the grounds that it was in the youth's "best interests")

absolutely nothing can be done

What would've happened if she had accused a teacher of inappropriate touching & the accusations turned out to be false?

Happens on a regular basis, student doesn't like his/her teacher simply state touching, looking, creeping,  so many things.  Once accused with in the Government it never leaves your record even if actuation's are proven false.

In you example the Teacher would be moved no matter the outcome of guilty or not

Fun times

You don't really know much let alone the law... You really think the mother wasn't in on it.... She's well over the age of a young offender.

They do all the media hype about the accusation and the kids face is front and centre for the cameras. They just had the fact it was all made up on the TV and now her face is pixilated to obscure it and protect her identity.
