Negative Rates Are Coming for Your Savings

We could be getting 8%, but those 20% house loans are tough to pay.

Not excusing it. I just remember marveling as a kid how I got paid to put money in the bank, while the note on dad's truck was 24%

All these basement dwellers are going to be shit out of luck for not buying when rates are low.

my first was 8-1/4, it sucked.

Mine was 13 or 14%, and my first car loan was similar. Luckily stuff was cheaper back then.

That's really good.

I did 5 years. Remortgaged every 4.5 without penalties.

I believe I had 4.5, 4.0 then 3.5% at the end.

Paid in 10. I'm mortgage & 100% debt free!

That's great but it really mattered more when the rates were higher.

With today's low rates there are more options to consider.

Home prices will tumble do to high mortgage rates which is great for buyers who look ahead.

Wife and I were talking bout this last weekend. WE will buy our retirement home during the next recession , then sell this one after prices come back up.

Having no mortgage is better than having a mortgage.

Doesn't matter what the interest rate is.

Can be 20% or 2%

Doesn't affect me. Fuck it!

Yah.....but if you can leverage your home for 2% and put that money to work making 6% then that is the thing to do
