Its a pretty hard nut to crack. There are all kinds of pressure on contractors and unions to hire minorities and kids (inner city kids) right out of high school and lure them into the trades. We have been at several job fairs and have virtually zero interested people. Or maybe the 2 or 3 who talked to us cant do it for one reason or another. Many are getting pushed thru community colleges and coming out with virtually no marketable skills. They just dont have anyone at home to guide or push them or even teach them proper manners or work ethic. I really dont know what the solution is.

So white people, who invented and still benefit from modern structural racism in North America, can't and shouldn't do anything to address it?

reparations clearly,  they just need a bit more than the billions already tossed at them.

That's a cop out. There was never any slavery in Canada. Or segregation. They have the same access to social services, health care, and quality education that whites do, regardless of economic stature. Yet the same issues that plague blacks in America apply here.
