You realize Canada  will have F35’s eh?

Sure if Harper light gets in he will do whatever is in the interest of the US. Just like Harper.

But despite all this Poland is  buying 35 of them.

Hmmmmmmmm

And they’re buying a maintenance nightmare. The big money maker for Lockheed with be the maintenance costs on these flying white elephants. New stealth coating after each flight. Crazy.

You’d think it was a great idea to buy from the country that brought out the 737max

I have no idea what you are talking about. But..,

after Canada realizes they can’t run an AF on used  F18’s from Australia they will re visit the original Harper F35 deal.

You guys know what the F35 has been doing at Red Flag right?

Nope...just going by the articles I read. You have knowledge of these things Cousin Carl so what's your take on the F 35 as far as performance, cost, delays....etc....

F35 was not meant to be an F 22, it is loaded with sensors to collect data and communicate with other aircraft / ground weapons / drones / etc. to determine where the enemy is and who should take the shot.  Stealth gets them time to get the shot off before the enemy can.  F35 is not a “dogfighter”, f22 and the newer F15s will be for that if they are bought.

F35 doesn’t have to carry a shit load of weapons as other assets around it can take the shot for it.

Canada’s politics is worse than US when it comes to purchasing military equipment, read about the Ch148. They finally ended up with a nice helo that took years to complete because they kept changing the specs while blaming everyone around them.  With the F35 it looks to be the same,  it’s gonna suck for them if they end up with an aircraft that can’t  “interact” with the rest of the aircraft around them.

Skynet is almost here.....

How often in modern warfare do dogfights actually take place?  :pc:

Don’t know but after reading about Red Flag courtesy of Cousin Carl it does appear as if the F 35 is pretty badass...but still with some flaws.

Sikorsky has been working with an autonomous helicopter, are now doing a fly by wire setup for the old Blackhawk so that a kit can be retrofitted for it.

Im sure F35 has been built for this
