Binnington cost them the cup, but had Marchand not fucked up in the 1st period goal with a few second left, I think the outcome would’ve been different. That goal was huge.

Where were those 2 in the finals and really the playoffs all-together? They are the most talented for sure.

1st period. :news:  The last I checked there were 3 periods of hockey, and who's to say that was all Marchand's fault and not the benches/coaching staff's?

– Patrice Bergeron admitted to reporters that he was playing through a groin injury.

Nobody has mentioned Boston’s complete defensive breakdowns in their zone either. There were all kinds of good firing lanes to plink Rask.  And how about Rask himself?  Yes, his team failed him but...game 7 and you turn into the player of old?  Sheesh!!!

It was good to see a game where a team whole handily came to play and won without controversy.

It definitely wasn't Boston's best game but I think they became deflated/exhausted after the 1st period when they couldn't buy a goal. It's easy to sit back and criticize but the bottom line is, imo, St Lou came to play and Boston didn't or Boston underestimated them.

It's a tad early for a hockey thread so, thought I'd post and laugh about this here.

Wild fired their new GM after one season.  Total shit show.  TOTAL.  The WIld should just commit to being a good farm team to get players ready to go to the real pros.
