Dude. That is bad ass. 200 psi of cranking compression is serious. :bc:

I was going to say something about that...even my dumbass knows that is some serious compression!

Is this one better?

Nailed it.  Mine always reads 10 low.

Maybe I should use this one.

No that one is not likely to work properly on the PTO cylinder either.

Use one like dooski posted. That is a good set up.

Dude I know what compression is.    I was making shit out of toolkit.

BTW you wouldn't have any OEM pistons around for a 2000 Mach Z?

I know you do

I'll check and see

Just pulled my tar sled out of storage and checked the comp.

Dude. That is some serious HP. Well north of 200 depending on what cc that motor is. Very nice.

Thanks Tom. Made 240 at the crank with 52's. Stock cylinder 975cc

Wow. Just incredible. That think has to run in the 9’s in the quarter?  Maybe quicker?

It ran mid 9's before in my old shitty chassis with 48 rounds. Can be an 8 second sled in the right hands

We'll see if I can get it there this year

Yea, a light drag chassis and a good rider could get that motor into the 8’s i would guess.

Less than 10%....not too concerned.

For a trail sled...I'd run it. But I'd also be keeping an eye in it too to see if the one cylinder continues to drop. That's decent compression in both holes with less the 10% difference so

And keep in mind all gauges read differently. I have 2 and they read 15psi off from each other.

I have a friend who bases what fuel to use in his race sled off of comp reading from his gauge :flush:

lol I have 3 all read diff . I have 1 I always brought when buying a used sled and 1 I had out when selling a used sled

When buying take the one that reads low and vice versa

the irony of two strokes is most times the radically ported engines run lower compression on a gauge.  An engine with stock or even low hp porting will in most cases read higher on cranking compression..    None of you guys run a Leak down tester?
