One really has to laugh at the article title.   Like it surprised them or something.

Its like saying "Hey we are going to raise property taxes by 50% but you cannot pass that on to your renters."

Nearly 100 percent of Seattle’s soda tax is being passed on to consumers, new report estimates

Found that quite funny myself. Did those who voted for it expect anything different to happen?

Any tax increases on the wealthy or corporations always get passed on to every rung of the economic ladder....

its no suprise as business and wealthy are not going to absorb increases in taxes or production cost.

What does "the wealthy" have to do with it?   Kind of an odd way of looking at it.  Just because one is wealthy doesn't mean they automatically have customers.

Wouldn't MC small business owners be just as likely to pass it on?

Cause they wouldn't last very long if they did that repeatedly.

Yeah silly me. 4 decades of stagnant wages don't have anything to do with people living paycheck to paycheck...

Just how months of drought has nothing to do with low lake levels and dry soil.

If the soil and lakes did a better job at saving moisture, they wouldn't be so dry.

Using that as an analogy just shows how stupid you really are. :lmao:
