She isn’t wrong. If we want high quality staffers from middle class families, they need to pay. I could have sworn this came up a few years ago and they fixed it? Guess not.

Staffers are the next people to get involved in politics. The Rich dont want middle class or poor people involved....they just want rich people making the rules

Staffers are also the ones running our democracy in all honesty.

They shape their officials views by delivering info of all sorts in condensed versions. Sure

This is why term limits may not do what we would all like.   The politicians get the boot, but the staff stays and keeps the same ideas moving.

In today’s teleconference abilities all these politicians should be in their home states with there staffers.

BINGO.  This is what should be pushed the most.  It would make it much harder for the DC establishment to have so much influence.

Why....you don’t think the money and lobbyists can  leave DC and travel? I bet you think The DC Establishment is a bar where they all meet and discuss how to fuck us all over! 🤣🤣

Take a look at the demographics of DC vs the rest of the country.  It doesn't represent the populace.

Agree they should be paid.

Then there's this from her.......

It is unjust for Congress to budget a living wage for ourselves, yet rely on unpaid interns & underpaid overworked staff just because Republicans want to make a statement about “fiscal responsibility.”

A study last year by the advocacy group Pay Our Interns found that only 51 percent of Republican senators offer paid internships and just 31 percent of Democrats do. Things are much worse over in the House, where just 8 percent of Republican interns are paid and a measly 3.6 percent of Democrats interns are.
