thats the machine. a few years ago there was a article in timber harvesting magazine about a contractor from lake tahoe . he was running a clt harvester and forwarder with a chipper and chip box. he was paid by the ac. to reduce the fuel load as it was called. the logs chips were stumpage free. it sounded like all landowners in that area had to be in that program.

So, Trump claims the Finnish leader told him they rake the forest floor.

The Finnish leader says “I never said that”

Trump is the “tell it like it is President “. According to his loyal fan boys.

Finnish President Sauli Niinisto told the Ilta-Sanomat newspaper he spoke briefly with Trump about forest management on November 11, when both were in Paris for Armistice Day

Poor Dumb Dave.  TDS is in full swing.

HELSINKI — Finnish President Sauli Niinistö said in an interview published Sunday that although President Donald Trump claimed the European leader told him Finns rarely have forest fires because they “spend a lot of time raking,” he doesn’t recall discussing that with Trump when they met last weekend in Paris.

The Finnish president confirmed that he discussed wildfire prevention with Trump, but rejected the suggestion that raking ever came up. The forest service in Finland does carry out controlled burns of the forest floor mostly to clear away underbrush and also promote new saplings.

Finland does, however, offer an instructive example to its Nordic neighbors. It has managed to bring down the area annually destroyed by wildfires from sometimes more than 100,000 hectares a century ago to now less than 1 percent of that. That compares to 25,000 hectares lost in Sweden this summer.

“The difference between the two Nordic countries is not explained by vegetation or climate,” Finland’s Forest Association said, “but is believed to be based on differences in infrastructure and forest management.

Only point I was making was that it was discussed.   Finland has similar weather to Sweden but has much less fires as stated because of forest management.   The point I think Trump is making poorly is that we can make a difference.   Its easier to have a more effective management plan than it is to change the climate.

I think it proves that Donald is a fucking moron. They discuss forest management practices, Donald is too fucking stupid to understand so he says “duh, it’s your fault your houses burned down and your neighbours are dead, you should have raked your forest”.
