How do you like that storm track? I like the looks of it, and would definitely consider it on my next sled.

I like the hard pack acceleration, I like how easy it is to slide slip the track in a corner with some throttle, and it's good off trail in the UP.

You and I ride quite differently though.  I'll make it work but, I think the 129 is about the ideal track.  120 was just a bit short on grab out of the corners.

How do you know how I ride?

They had like over 2 dozen not long ago.  The price isn't as great as it was a couple weeks ago.

So youre a poser on an xrs then...

Hmmm

I don't understand how anyone over 200lbs could ride an X, I'm 250 and the center shock on an X bottoms on even moderate dips and bumps.

Did 50 miles of nasty spring riding today, tomorrow should be better though.

I’ve found that the XRS confines have varied through the years, from rock stiff to downright plush.  My 14 Freeride was like a Cadillac after I put heavier springs on. Snowed all day yesterday.  Headed out again shortly.  :bc: BCF2F01F-0532-4947-B6B3-9AC298DCE986.jpeg.4fc5906a68614173cdfecbd202b4c184.jpegBEA62A9A-31D8-43ED-8066-BBD16A75B132.jpeg.d7002df1141697bbb98a83167fd57b0e.jpegBEA62A9A-31D8-43ED-8066-BBD16A75B132.jpeg.d7002df1141697bbb98a83167fd57b0e.jpeg

Yeah...a good winter really dried up stock on the top end sleds.  There were some really good deals in January.  I'm just kinda half-assed looking though.  My sled is set up better in every way for what I want so, I'm good but, that doesn't mean I won't jump on something. Teams are starting to dump their race sleds now.  Some still crated!  Team I bought mine from called me, there's just hit Craigs.  Stupid three gallon tank and ugly headlight tho....

You should bottom every so often if they are set correctly.

I need to do something with the front shocks on the RMK. They are set to the softest setting and I can’t bottom them out. I think I need to do a spring change?

You bought an rmk?

I’ve had it for 3 or four years now. It’s a 08 and it just turned 5k on the clicker.

How did I NOT know that?  You really shouldn't be bottoming your fronts at all.  I assume those are all WE shocks?  And I certainly assume that is for more deep pow/forest road shit.  @AKIQPilot is gonna be your answer for those settings on shocks.

Nice lookin' sled by the way!  :bc:   You polish that yourself?

I thought most of those Dragon RMK's had the WE air shocks on the front?  What kind of shock is on the front of that sled?  Post up a pic.

It’s not a air shock. The rear is fine. The fronts are fine in powder. It’s hard to lay over in set up snow, can’t take logging roads at speed when they start getting whooped out. It feels like I’m going to get bucked off. I never really rode it hard in those conditions, all ways road the XFSP.  I did find a donor parts sled so I can get the cat back out next season. I will get close up pics of the shocks next week when I’m up there. I do recall the front shocks being new when I bought the sled used a few years ago.

I’ve always backed out my fronts until I bottom out a bit, then go two turns in. I’ve got these all the way backed out and can’t find bottom. I think I need to do a spring change? It’s also only a 600 and won’t pull the ski’s like I’m used to. The reason I grabbed the 600 is because Polaris 800 sucked balls before 2015. Not sure if you ever heard about the 800 problems.
