I am a super fan of the thinkpads I've had a t42, t61, t400, t420 over the years between work and personal use. beat the shit out of them and they just keep running. There are a ton of resellers selling refurb 2-3 year old laptops on CL , I have been using this Dell I bought for over 3.5 years.
