It has taken far too long for that fucker to finally get what he had coming , that's for sure . Some imbeciles around these parts actually idolize the prick.  :bc:

It is why I have little room for Democrats as a whole. If you were from the Boston area you knew who whitey was and who his brother was and who ran the state and yet election after election the same players remained.

Are you not a mid West hayseed with little or no clue about Massachusetts politics???? I think that maybe the case.

Shall we take a stroll down memory lane with corruption among republicans? How about we start with the the republican speaker of the house being a pedophile and work backwards from here? Or would you rather work forward from there. It's your choice.

Well then here is a little more history on Massachusetts for ya. Seeing ya like speakers so well.

Salvatore Francis "Sal" DiMasi (born 1945) is a former Democratic state representative in Massachusetts. The former Speaker of the Massachusetts House of Representatives originally joined the state legislature in 1979, as a member of the Democratic Party. He eventually resigned from this post in January 2009, just six months prior to being indicted on several Federal charges, including conspiracy to defraud the federal government, extortion, mail fraud and wire fraud. DiMasi was found guilty on 7 of 9 federal corruption charges on June 15, 2011. DiMasi is the third consecutive Massachusetts house speaker to be federally indicted.[1]

Thomas Michael Finneran[2] (born January 27, 1950[3]), is a radio talk host and former Massachusetts Democratic politician[1] who served as Speaker of the Massachusetts House of Representatives from April 1996 to September 2004. He represented the district that included parts of the Boston neighborhoods of Dorchester, Mattapan and Hyde Park as well as parts of the town of Milton for 26 years. He resigned and accepted the position of President of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council. He subsequently resigned in 2007 after pleading guilty to criminal obstruction of justice, in a court case about his testimony about his influence and participation in the redistricting process following the 2000 census. He was disbarred in 2010 (retroactive to January 23, 2007)

Charles F. Flaherty (born October 13, 1938 in Boston, Massachusetts) is a U.S. politician who served as a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1967-1996. He was the House Majority Leader from 1985–1990 and the Speaker of the House from 1991 to 1996.[1]

In 1996, Flaherty agreed to plead guilty to felony tax evasion for submitting false receipts regarding his business expenses.[2] In addition, he also admitted to civil violations of state conflict of interest law for receiving free vacation housing from lobbyists.

Yea I tried to watch the movie Chappaquiddick thinking it would fun  but after about 30 minutes I had to shut it off as it is just plain uncomfortable to watch a true story about human being with little or no moral fiber. I think a case could be made that the level of corruption in the time of Bulger was as bad as anytime in history, they ran the government, they ran organized crime and for good measure they had the FBI working for them against their enemies. You would have to go back to the days of boss Tweed or mayor Daly to find their equal.
