If you actually wanted to bomb someone it would need to be functional also, it had a clock on it. So they’re sending the optics it was a timed bomb. Which makes no sense for a letter bomb if you actually wanted to kill the person you mailed it too. It would have to be rigged apon opening to accomplish this and you aren’t going to be able to do that with a paper envelope or a timed detonator So it’s about the optics.
