A&W, Mothers Pizza, The Spaghetti Factory.

My parents took us out to eat regularly but , since we lived on the edge of town, they often took us farther out to the smaller villages around us as that was quicker. Every crossroads had a tavern/restaurant back then and there were several within a 5 minute drive. Most are gone now.

I forgot about Mother's pizza. Corner of Ritson and King was a popular one here.

Or what about Frank Vetere’s Pizzeria?

They were the first to bring out the deep dish. We had one in Waterloo on unviversity 17D4A37A-9259-4431-8B42-5A954ED670E2.thumb.jpeg.d1a31f08d4f0a00293e57141c4dfee16.jpegbut it only stayed open a few years before the chain collapsed.

There's a place I haven't been to in a LONG time. I don't think I've been there since 1992/early '93 maybe.

Old Spaghetti Factory was a chain. I'm not sure how many there were or for how long but we had one here in Kitchener. The name changed to Charlie's Spaghetti Factory at some point but the restaurant remained unchanged. They had a salad bar with fresh bread you cut yourself. They played old black and white movies (laurel and Hardy, Charlie Chaplin, etc) on a big screen. Our's here had a old giant commercial scale in the lobby with a 3x3 or 4x4 platform so you could stand on it with others.
