They have decent people in their party that are being shunned by the rest of their party for not being “left enough” and/or Anti-Trump enough. They are running out of time to start changing course back towards a more centrist candidate. They aren’t going to be able to just “flip” and gain earnest votes. Unions are loaded right now. But in all reality the dems don't have enough time to put a good enough candidate up and raise the kind of money they will need. Probably going to focus on 2024.
