first world countries take care of their citizens health,  here in america we force families to absorb tens of thousands in ins premiums/medical costs rather than providing that.  Unless your old,  then even though your at the point your med care is at it's highest cost we will provide you with it,  SMH at the logic of that.

No one provides anything in the other countries you still pay. You are taxed at a very high rate. I think I'd be cool with Single payer if it was run by each state. I just think federally run healthcare for 350 million people is tough.

The VA is a product of confirmation bias. It’s usually on par with any other hospital. It’s failure is more of a political tool too much of the time.

I used the VA when I was injured. My father has been using the VA ever since Vietnam. His experiences are horrible compared to mine but mine time was short-lived. Again the VA is serving a small percentage of the population.

One of the reasons we've had such a high rate of growth with medical technology in this country is becuase it's a free market. I wonder what would happen if that changed?

There is a reason the US Canada border is a Turnstyle for people coming here to have Surgeries

Well the Government is already providing single payer for a massive chunk of the population and they are doing no worse than the private sector

If its good enough for the military its good enough for me

To have to access to military care everybody works for it and starts out making less then minimum wage.  So are you advocating single payer but everybody must work to get it?
