Rhode Island bill would keep Trump off 2020 ballot unless he releases his tax returns

Rhode Island's state Senate passed a bill this week that would keep candidates off the presidential ballot in their state if they don't release five years' worth of tax returns, according to the Providence Journal.

Sen. Gayle Goldin (D), who sponsored the bill, noted that every presidential candidate since Richard Nixon released their tax returns voluntarily until President Trump ran for office.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that he cannot release his tax returns because he is under audit, but the IRS said an audit does not prevent a candidate from releasing their personal tax information.

Goldin argued that "tax returns provide essential information about candidates' conflicts of interest."

Did it ever occur to Mainecat that the IRS has Trumps tax returns, and if he was guilty of any crimes, that would be public?  Did it ever occur to Mainecat that Trump would be wise NOT to publicize his business dealings, so the jackals could just pick it apart,  find something to squawk about on every page, and provide at least 6 months more of breathless and fake narratives?

Keeping Trump off the ballot              in Rhode island        lol

now thats going to really hurt his re Election chances right there.....................:lmao:

Once again, this is something no one is required to do. passing a bill to force a candidate to do so is PATHETIC and shows just how desperate these people have become.

Does the constitution require presidential candidates to release their tax returns??

whole northeast can keep trump off the ballot and it means fuck all.  trumps second term will come down to the same 6-8 states that were tossups in the 16 election so his approval/disapproval rate in 40+ other states really doesn't much matter their citizenships hackery is well known.
