It's not like the province hasn't seen cold weather before. Nor are the homeless a new development.

I don't deny more could be done particularly in the extreme cold.

It seems some of them refuse help. I saw on the news the other day one of the mobile volunteer outreach vans was cruising the streets of downtown Toronto. They found 14 homeless on the streets and of the 14 I believe only 3 accepted a ride to a shelter to get out of the cold.

Apparently there was still unused capacity at the shelters. The outreach volunteers report that the shelters have some common sense rules such as no alcohol allowed. Some of these people would rather be out in the cold rather than abide by the rules.

What you've posted has been said many times in the past as well. What do the advocates suggest be done w/ these people that refuse help?

More Fail hallucinations. Where do you get a meal for $7.   McDonalds is more than $7. Give it up Fail... you know nothing about business finances and having to operate within a finite budget. Unlike government you can't just overspend and go ooops... let's take more money from people.

Fail... you're elevator really doesn't go all the way to the top floor does it. I provide fact from the experts including quotes and links all the time. You rarely if ever do since you can't. It all comes from your deluded mind.

Show me dumb as a stump where I ever even came close to suggesting they all close up. I know you can't. I do acknowledge that just like the experts which you aren't, said SOME will be forced to close up.

You apparently glossed over things like 12 hours less labour Thursday through Sunday so the employees will see fewer hours AS WELL AS increased prices.

Poor Poor Fail... I have been part of the real world of business all my life. Dealing with financial constraints, setting budgets, ensuring coming in under or on budget, scheduling to meet fluctuating customer demand and so much more....

Tell us Fail... do you do anything other than post here all day every work day to be able to collect your pay cheque.

I don't have and have never needed a safe place.... I have dealt with whatever comes my way.... you have your daily safe place... it's your union protected get away with doing nothing for your employer and still keep your job place.

As for Pt1389.... I wish him all the best and hope he manages to come through this despite all the garbage impediments the government keeps throwing at him.

Same here & any other small business owners on here. 

All the effort spent in dealing w/ the bureaucracy could be described as 'non-value added work'. 

You should see the personal crap the province wants to know about volunteer members on a cemetery board. The 6 of us were going to resign en masse. Instead we just filled in our contact info & returned the forms. Havent heard from them since.

You're right Fail I was an employee. I was however responsible for a $50M facility not including the customer owned systems. Add their systems in and it would have been in the neighbourhood of $100M of assets. As part of that responsibility I was also responsible for establishing the annual capital and operating expense budgets, sticking to them or coming in under budget and profit and loss. When the final monthly revenue and expense numbers were tallied I had monthly financial review with my management and our Finance Dept Director. Any exceptions to plan were closely reviewed.

Your stupidity continues to show no end of how far it can go Fail... think about what you said. Just an employee. You do realize that the Governor of the Bank of Canada is JUST AN EMPLOYEE. As is the Chief Financial Officer of every company, all of the accountants in their finance department.

Do you ever get tired of proving how stupid you are.

Do you ever do any actual work... amazing you don't feel guilty about being paid to warm a seat. You're an employee Fail... nobody would ever call you a worker though

Maybe she should have listened to people when they said don't sell Hydro. In the matter of buying votes, me thinks she acted to hastily on the raise to minimum wage earners. Many of these people are just looking for the next bingo game or trip to casino to spend their money. Maybe one of them makes a trip to the reserve for a few “bags of smokes” . They will have forgotten about this kind deed from Seabiscuit and will still be struggling because of their mismanagement . This should have been done within a few weeks of election and she may have gotten a more substantial bump from the electorate. On another note , I spend a lot of time with these people and I would doubt that more than 10 percent even vote. Sad but true.

I won’t even try to explain business to Fail. I have opened and sold 5 restaurants in 20 years. Employed hundreds of people from all walks of life , yet Fail is all knowing and I am nothing.
