Another lame attempt to blame everything except American gun culture for mass shootings.  Btw. This is your biggest month so far this year and it’s not even over yet.

Congrats Merca.

Hey, mind your own backyard, dipshit.  Go be whiney, beta-cuck somewhere else.  Mmmmmm...k?

How do we educate on bullying beyond what we already do?

Treating mental illness how?  What qualifies as mental ilness?

How do we spot those troubled individuals?  How is help deployed?

So it is the idea of any gun control.  Understood.

Take their god damned phones away and computers away!  The bullying 25 years ago only ever happened during shool hours and maybe extended a touch on the ride home on the bus, but that's as far as it went.  Usually escalated to a certain level before push came to shove and it was likely settled in a hallway or classroom by both and in 2 minutes time it was over and done with never to be a problem between the two individuals involved ever again.  Now it's glorified on social media where swarms of kids get involved and everyone can say what ever comes into their minds without coming face to face with the targeted kid.  24 fucking 7 this kid can log onto whatever and see harsh things said about him/her day after day.

No one's going to take their social communication away, ever, but like it or not technology is the problem here.  Most of you guys my age or older ought to surely see where i'm coming from on this.  Think back to how it used to be.

Other countries have all that and their students don't mass murder one another.

I don't think it is a technology only issue.  It's a poor parenting issue first.  Parents have to learn how to manage/monitor their kids activity on social media.

I blame that on poor parenting and the parents inability to properly discipline the kids.  The latter falls squarely on the bleeding heart libs.

There are no participation trophies in real life.  Kids don't learn to deal with the real world with the libs in charge.

Have kids? Do you deal with these idiots at the schools? I do and I do. So many kids just can't deal with real life today.

Yeah, especially entitled white boys. They snap and shoot up the school because they're so fucking fragile.

After you’re done laughing - do you have a solution or perspective to add to this issue? :dunno:

The problem is much too complex for a solution. America has an abundance of easily available firearms and a 24 hour media service along with a very inefficient political system. Couple this with an increasingly, overall disregard for human life and it’s probably going to get far worse. I’ve never had much faith in the area of prevention. Prevention of certain human behavior be it planned or compulsive has shown very poor results. A person has to be ready for change before help can be given. Be it drug use, suicide, or violence. So my solution, let it run it’s course and provide help for the survivors.

Sometimes a kid needs his ass kicked.  There was a kid calling my son a name for three days straight.  My son told the teachers and such to no avail.  Finally, he just pounded the shit out of the little fucker.  We had a meeting with the principal and teachers and councilor and a couple of others.  His teacher at that hour said she didn't hear anything and said she didn't think it was even going on.  I made some comment about her napping and needing more sleep at home.   Finally,  after so much out to fucking lunch bullshit, I told her that she needs to do some homework.  Go to the bar this weekend and stand behind someone and call them names until you get a reaction.  I told her to get back with me after her dental appointment.  She didn't believe me that a thrashing is a normal real world response. All were fucking nuts except one behavioral specialist - she quietly told me I was right after the meeting.

I think you are partially correct. Back in the day somebody gave you the lip you either beat their ass or turn the other way if they could beat your ass. None of this bullshit like Moto does calling people names all day long with no repercussions. Add to that that these are second-generation snowflakes whose parents never had to learn how to lose, see somebody else's opinion or fight. Bunch of liberal fairies.

Bingo,  also the schools have a pretty good idea what kids have issues requiring help, yet parents tend to ignore those concerns.  We can always do better.

What if Trump called upon all of his followers to come together on one day at the same time for a MASSIVE prayer session to stop school shootings? God would have to do something then!
